I hold a BBA (Honours) through which I refined a solid academic base in strategic management, research method, international business and market analysis. While my undergraduate training were anchored in business and accounting, it persistently committed with global economic systems, the cross border market dynamics, and the institutional environment producing organizational decision making. This qualification contribute a strong entry point into the interdisciplinary focus of the Erasmus Mundus Master in Global Studies (EMGS). Courses such as International Selling and Strategic Management made known to me on how firms contrive within globalized markets shaped by political institutions, regulatory frameworks and cultural contexts. These exposure prompted growing enthusiasm in understanding globalization beyond firm level consummation, precisely how historical, political and economic structures pattern global markets. The EMGS core modules, notably Introduction to global studies and Introduction to global history, precisely complement this trajectory by situating economic activity within broader global processes along with global capitalism, power asymmetries and historical transformation. The theories of global studies module affiliates closely with my academic evolution by presenting analytical frameworks encompassing global political economy and world systems theory which expand and precariously contextualize the economic models experienced during my undergraduate studies. In addition , the methods of global studies module frames upon my prior research training by enhancing interdisciplinary and comparative methodologies indispensable for proper global studies research and thesis preparation. The programmes accentuation on regional and thematic specialization, academic mobility and research based assessment farther reinforce it’s purpose to my academic goals. My interests lie in inquiring how global economic strategies and government framework merge with local contexts notably in emerging and developing economies. EMGS’s structure allows for comparative and trans regional engagement whole readying students for independent interdisciplinary research. Given my academic background, analytical orientation and growing focus on global system and governance, I affirm I am well suited to the EMGS programme. The curriculum offers a natural progression from applied business studies to critical global analysis and administer the intellectual framework paramount for advanced study in global and transnational issues.
