PRESS RELEASE KTB-PRO/07/XI/2016 th NOVEMBER 11 2016 “We Care, We Share” Helped to Fix School Facilities in 3 Elementary Schools in Padang, West Sumatera, as a way to Improve Education Quality in our Nation PT. Krama Yudha Tiga Berlian Motors (KTB), Authorized Distributor for Mitsubishi vehicle in Indonesia from Mitsubishi Motors Corporation (MMC) and Mitsubishi Fuso Truck & Bus Corporation (MFTBC) held a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) that focuses on children and education, called “We Care, We Share”for the 10th times, on November 10th 2016. “We Care, We Share” (WCWS) is one of KTB social activity that has continually been held since 2010. WCWS 2016 activity this year, is renovating school facilities at three (3) elementary school in West Sumatera, which are: SD Negeri 13 Sungai Pisang – Padang City, SD Negeri 26 and 29 Sungai Sarik, Padang Pariaman Regency. KTB as a good corporate citizen, is willing to contribute in improving education quality in Indonesia through renovating school facilities, as one of our way to rebuild the hopes of children after the massive earthquake on 2009. The aim of developing and renovating the elementary schools are, KTB wants to redevelop more proper facilities for the school, so it will be more convenient for study, and the teaching and learning process become more effective. The ceremonial event for WCWS 2016 this yearheld in SD Negeri 13 Sungai Pisang on November 10th2016, that was symbolically given by President Director of KTB, Hisashi Ishimaki to Deni Yannita – The Headmaster of SD Negeri 13 Sungai Pisang, Tami – The Headmaster of SD Negeri 26 Sungai Sarik, and Yusniar – The Headmaster of SD Negeri 29 Sungai Sarik. This event began with a warm greeting from Hisashi Ishimaki as a President Director of KTB. In his speech, he stated that, “We are very excited to contribute in developing education sector through the improvement of school infrastructure and facilities, also we hope that the students will feel more comfortable and keen to do all activities at PUBLIC RELATIONS OFFICE PT. The three schools that got donation from “We Care, We Share” 10th Phase are SD Negeri 13 Sungai Pisang, SD Negeri 26 and 29 Sungai Sarik, which the schools has inappropriate facilities. Therefore, in this program, KTB donated school renovation from fixing the school building that most of them are broken, build a new wall, roof installation and setting up new ceramics, add new set of desks and chairs at the class, paint the school wall, repair the school wall, build a new toilet, fix the sport field, build the school sign and rubbish bin. Renovation 1 Before Renovation 2 After Before Renovation 3 Before After Renovation 4 After Before After Not only renovating the school, in WCWS activity, KTB also provide health equipment and emergency disaster response socialization for earthquake and tsunami to students in SD Negeri 13 Sungai Pisang, as the school location is exactly in the opposite side of the beach and Padang city which is prone to earthquake. Beside socialization about earthquake and tsunami, KTB also work together with Palang Merah Indonesia (PMI) West Sumatera, in giving education about the importance of washing hands.
