HOW AN ONLINE INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL CHANGE ONE’S LIFE The name’s Ted. Ted Dinh- one of my student living in Sweden. It was him 2 years ago when he was 12. It was a desperate time for the boy. Ted is an introvert. He was so shy. He didn’t talk much. He didn’t even have friends ( like, no one). Even though Ted tried his best to fit in but other kids didn’t want to talk to Ted somehow. They said that Ted was not interesting and that Ted always ruined their conversation. Nobody wanted to be placed in the same group with Ted so the boy had to be alone all the time in most of his classes. Eventually, Ted loved to work alone and he seemed very good at it. Ted is a top student at math and he was such a genius at the subject. But in the eye of the bullier, he was just a nerd who was easy stomp on. Someday, Ted came home with bruises and tears in his eyes. Ted felt left out and then, he hated going to school. Ted’s mom knew action need to be taken and she decided that she had to homeschooling Ted. But the thing was she didn’t know how And that day came. The day that changed Ted’s life as well as his mom’s life forever. It was a rainy day, heavy, heavy rain. While browsing on the web looking for solution, Ted’s mom came across a blog where found moms who had kids in the same situation as she was at that time share their story. There,she read a story of a single mother who struggling to homeschooling her autism child. But the mother with her autism child found her solution, an online international school where her son can study anywhere he want, anytime he want and she can join her son in his class as a learning coach. After reading that heart-touching story, Ted’s mom thought to herself “Well, this is my last hope.” After several of phone calls and emails, she decided to let Ted study online with that school. And that decision changed her boy’s life completely. He is not afraid to speak up anymore because he got his mom with him and the dedicated teacher who always there to help Ted when he needed. Ted spended 4 to 6 hours studying online. When Ted classes are over, his mom had time to teach Ted to gardening, cooking (even though he’s suck at it still). She even took Ted to some charity events abroad to teach him caring for others. Ted has changed. He is like a new person. He is now not a scared boy anymore, he loves going to the supermarket with his mom after class. He cares about others and loves gardening. He also has good friends, which is the best thing for him. He even join a Online Math Club in his online school. Ted is a genius in his own way. Ted’s life changed in the way that he couldn’t imagine even in his wildest dream 2 years ago. His mom made a life changing decision that changed not one, but two people’s life at a time. Now they are living a life, a meaningful life, a life of freedom and joy. That was Ted and his mom story.And yes, you are right, Ted is one of our student and Hill Castle International School is the answer, the life-changing decision that Ted’s mom made.
