For ‘national horticultural mission’ all results are of govt websites, except this blog post https://www.indiafilings.com/learn/national-horticulture-mission/ ○ These guys have Domain Authority (DA) of 67, so a good reputation website in the eyes of Google ○ They published this post back in December, so it’s recently being ranked ○ The page gets 1000 traffic per month ranking position 7 ○ The content is not great, we can easily beat them with 10x better content Suggestion though is to build topic authority on ‘horticulture’ so Google sees us as experts on the topic ○ We need to build a topic cluster and write multiple articles on horticulture ○ I believe we have more chance of ranking if we have a mixed strategy where we are targeting low hanging fruits in short blog posts, then we also target the highest volume difficult keywords to get ○ These are the keywords we can write on for this topic ■ Don’t need backlinks ● national horticulture mission ● horticulture crops ● father of horticulture (we can tell his story) ● difference between horticulture and agriculture ● scope of horticulture ● branches of horticulture ■ Need backlinks ● horticulture ■ Navigational ● Note - There are these keywords like ‘horticulture bihar’ which SEMRush marks as navigational, and most likely the people want to visit the horticulture department of Bihar. But I still feel we have an opportunity to write about the horticulture in these states as an experiment to see how it performs ● Keywords ○ horticulture bihar ○ tn horticulture ○ up horticulture ○ horticulture haryana ○ horticulture kashmir ● Idea - Instead of first writing individual blog posts for each of these states, probably a better approach would be to write something like ‘The State of Horticulture Across India: From Kashmir to UP-Bihar and more’
