 ROTARY CLUB, AUNDH (PUNE) IN ITS YET ANOTHER ATTEMPT OF SPREADING SUNSHINE INVITES YOU FOR AN ENTERTAINING PROGRAMME WITH A SOCIAL CAUSE 'MAIN AUR AMITABH' BY NONE OTHER THAN 'SUDESH BHOSALE' ON 2ND JULY 2016 TIME : 7 TO 10 PM VENUE : GANESH KALA KRIDA MANCH WHO ARE WE ? Rotary Club of Aundh, Pune is part of the world renowned Rotary International. Following the footsteps of its International body, Rotary Club of Aundh, Pune has been spreading smiles and adding sunshine to people's lives through various social causes and fund raiseRupees WHAT DO WE DO ? We at Rotary club, Aundh, Pune try to address the most troublesome issues of the society by putting in collective efforts and raising funds from the society. We try to make people realize the significance of the issue by making them aware about a particular problem that is how People come together and join hands with us in eradicating different problems of the society. WHAT HAVE WE DONE ? Water Conservation we adopted a village called PIngori near Saswad, Pune. We analyzed the intensity of water scarcity in the village and then started addressing the issue with various means of water conservation. we built an artificial tank to store more and more water, we also constructed a dam for water conservation. Finland Rotary's contribution We invited the Finland, Rotary team to observe the situation of water scarcity and to inspect the solutions that are offered. They went back with in depth observation and study of the situation of Pingori and donated Rupees 49 Lacs for the cause. Got attention of CM of Maharashtra This adoption of village and the measures taken therein were so immense that , it caught the attention of Mr. Devendra Phadanvis, CM of Maharashtra. After analyzing the situation he very generously donated Rupees 50 Lacs to the cause. WHAT ARE OUR DREAMS ? PIngori is just one step towards the journey, we at Rotary wish to take this journey ahead with many such steps. We at Rotary Club, Aundh, Pune are willing to underatake following initiatives in order to help the society in best possible manner: Advancements in Pingori PIngori has been adopted by us and requires some more advancments. In- we are willing to install Drip Irrigation at least in 500 acres of Land in Pingori. Ladies Toilets has been a major concern in PIngori, we wish to eradicate that problem with construction of enough number of Ladies toilets. Rejuvenating wells in Karanjavane In a village called Karanjawane near Shirur, we have observed that there are 400 wells which have dried and with proper measure those can be put to reuse. We also wish to rejuvenate the lake at Karanjawane. these measures with a total outlay of Rupees 25 Lacs will benefit cose to 3000 people and 450 acres of land. Water Conservation in Gundalwadi We wish to construct bunds on Nullahsat Gondalwadi (taluka Khed Dist. Pune). Installing a water ATM in the village and CCT works on the nearby Hills. Estimated expenditure in this project is Rupees 20 lacs. Nearly 2500 villagers would be benefitted Mobile Cancer Detection Vans Breast cancer is on the rise in India and the major cause is lack of awareness amongst women in India. If detected at an earlier stage, Breast Cancer can be cured, but women in India due to societal pressure and fear , refrain from getting the tests done. We want to curb this by providing for Mobile Cancer Detection Van in and around Pune City. Any woaman, Hospital and NGO can avail this facility for the easier checkups at reasonable costs. Sanitary Vending Machines Due to the problem of non- affordability, 88% of women choose unhygienic methods over sanitary napkins, which leads to Incidents of Reproductive Tract Infection (RTI) and Girls dropping out of the school after they start menstruating. To solve this problem We want to install automated Sanitary vending machines at various places which will dispense the sanitary Napkins against the coins. Theestimated cost for installation of one such machin is Rupees 1 lakh HOW YOU CAN CONTRIBUTE ? We are sure that, all of us want to do something for the society.
