Human conduct is one of the key determinant factors that guide the development of their environment. It should be noted that humans will conduct correctly when there is nothing like a set of a governing body that controls their doings within a given location and to a specified group of people. From the description, it can be said that law and leadership, although different, are inseparable. According to Peter Northouse in 2010, "Leadership is a process whereby individual influences a group of individuals to achieve a common goal (Bell et al. 2018). The same act clarifies that leadership can never be classified to be characteristic or a trait for that case possessed when a person is born.
From a personal perspective, global leadership is different from active leadership, and I think this is the main pint that Peter tried to explain in his article. Some critical theories can be used to describe the vision of leadership, like the Situation theory. It is an assumption that leaders will, in most cases, display excellent leadership qualities when they are changing their skills to face a current situation (Ajuwon et al. 2016). I tend to disagree with the theory as a leader is expected to make perfect decisions.
Basing my arguments from my analysis of data concerning vision for effective leadership, It is clear that when a CEO is competent, he or she can create a more unobstructed view. The most immediate strategy to employ to attain that is influencing all followers by effectively communicating the vision. It is a perfect boost to gaining support. Second is through the maintenance of organization direction through consistency and persistence. I am not forgetting a critical point of empowering the followers to harness energy to achieve the expected result. It is easily achievable through the motivation and training of employees.
I understand that my leadership vision helps me determine what I am planning to achieve in my life, and the kind of leader I aspire to be like. I believe achievement can only be rooted following my experience. After critically analyzing the past events, now addressing the future follows with the current realities as the pillars to the construction of firm vision leadership.
It was setting up leadership vision form a vast pool of importance to a leader. First, it helps leaders walk towards the achievement of results and avoid being held up by mundane stuff. Statistically, it helps the leaders focus on at least 20% most essential and not concentrate on the remaining 80%, which can easily be delegated to be handled by others (Watts et al. 2019).
In my journey to leadership dream and vision, there has always been this one question that keeps me walking. What makes a leader great? It is said that great leaders will always find a balance in foresight of business, its performance, and the character for that matter. Additionally, great readers must possess virtues like integrity, being courage. Also, they must be having humility. Humility is the aspect of understanding that success is never a one-page story; there are levels of challenges that a leader must go through (Attah et al. 2017). Being focused and having the capacity to plan is one of the determining factors for making the development of a good leader.
Not all visions will always turn out to be effective in leadership. A compelling vision must unite and provide stability within the organization. By all means, the vision must avoid buzz and jargon usage, which makes it understandable the technology to implement in the vision and leadership movement (Ndalamba et al. 2018). According to better writing of vision must be procedural. First is the generation of an image that reflects the picture of yourself at the end of one's life. Second is writing a personal story; it is followed by the own vision description, and lastly, it the clarification of vision.
From the ancient form of leadership to the current leadership module, there has been a notable change in how to do the thing. The changes have been driven by the advancement of technology and civilization of people. Consequently, leadership can be viewed in three significant perspectives: the past, the present, and the presumed future mode of leadership (Attah et al. 2017). A substantial change from the 20th century to the 21st century. In the 20th century, there was hard leadership skill, which included coercion for people to enter into treaties contrary to their willingness. The skill has been replaced by more soft leadership skills that involve concealing.
Also, the evolution of leadership can be noted from the advance change in communication channeling between the leaders and the subordinates or followers. Historically, the leader's voice and the decision was termed to be final regardless of hos oppressing their choice might have been to the affected. In the modern form of leadership, may it be in politics or business organization, give room for the followers to share their ideas to formulate a more concrete decision (Ndalamba et al. 2018).
