Interviewer: Hello.
Interviewee: Hello, Wilma.
Interviewer: Hi, how are you?
Interviewee: I’m good. So, this is Terry.
Interviewer: Yes I think, I recognize your number.
Interviewee: Okay, good. Yeah, I am good .I’m on The West Coast, and it’s very cold but we’re having a sunshiny day.
Interviewer: Oh, that’s great; here the weather is just awful. With us it has been really recognized, it has been raining for two days. And it’s like, and it’s like over-freezing. It’s pretty cold here.
Interviewee: Where, now, you are at?
Interviewer: I am at Columbia, Missouri.
Interviewee: Missouri?
Interviewer: hmme, yes
Interviewee: All right; right, yeah. One of the best state school in the country.
Interviewer: Well I guess that’s…
Interviewee: Yeah, okay. So I will just let you proceed.
Interviewer: Okay, great. I just want; I will start by just briefly reviewing the goals of the study. Just in case you have questions, and then we can talk about them. So, as I mentioned in the initial email, the overall goal is to understand how Reporters cover Health and Inequalities in certain communities. And for this study, we're focusing specifically on our Native American communities. So, the interview is about thirty to an hour long. And also I’ll be recording it. Is that okay?
Interviewee: Yes.
Interviewer: Okay, great. Also I, it’s mentioned in the consent form. We keep the files confidentially, record all the responses. So you won’t be identified in the transcripts or in the final paper. Also, if there is a question you don't want to answer, that's fine. I can just move on. And if you need to stop at any time, that's completely fine too.
Interviewee: Okay.
Interviewer: Do you have any question before I start?
Interviewee: No, I do not.
Interviewer: Okay, great. I just wanted to start.
