passion for art
It all began for I felt, growing up, the need to better understand the world around
me. Soon enough, my artworks became a way of expressing feelings, emotions
or concepts as a way of explaining my thoughts, first to myself and to others.
process
After 15 years of art oriented studies, I now mix drawing & painting on paper with
digital post-processing.
description: Electric Flower (coloured pen, pencil & marker on paper 148 x 210 mm)
Inspiration came as I noticed two women chatting while standing in the sea by the shore. I felt
energised like an electric flower as the sun shined so beautifully in that specific day so I honoured
this electric feeling.

@ 59th ANC - Annual NASA Convention
NASA = National Association of Student Architects, India
Watch our video here & for snapshots, visit: Number 6 Workshop FB page
Abstract
Inspired by the vast potential of designing objects by replicating sacred geometry
into dynamic structures, I joined the 59th Annual NASA Convention as tutor by
initiating a 5-days-long workshop for 30+ architecture students. Our mission as
tutors was to find uses of the vector equilibrium by designing it to a larger scale.
Materials
I chose bamboo as our main structural material. Half-cubeoctahedron-shaped,
tent-like & foldable structures and furniture replicating solid shapes were designed
prior to the event. The main task for our participants was to come up with joinery
solutions, inspired by the cubeoctahedron toy (page ...), drawings and prototypes
made prior to the event, in order to design these structures that are foldable, flexible
but also stable when erect.
As we only had 5 days of solid work at our disposal, we also used afordable and
easy-to-use materials. We created joinery out of thoroughly tied rope, elastic rope &
a few nuts and bolts for stabilising the geometry of the structure.
Outcome
After 5 days we obtained 4 foldable shelter/ tent structures that can be folded
down and up with the help of 3 people. Other solid shapes were obtained and were
used for seating. The purpose of this workshop was to experiment and force this
low-quality bamboo to brake, opening up to new discoveries in our designs. These
strucutres, would ideally be covered with impermeable material so to create a living
space inside.

MY INDIAN STORY
We visited Taj Mahal after a stupid fight over dinner....
He complained about northern Indian wether being too cold... I
complained about his cold attitude that’s been lasting since we
started the trip !
We both decided to spend the night in Agra and go visit other
cool monuments the next day.
Finding a cheap hotel at dawn was an easy task, we confided
into a well-intended rickshaw driver who took us to a cheap
hotel in the area.
We fell tired and soon asleep, ‘cause of our fight from before...
and due to distractions coming from all over: cold room, the
long bus drive from Jaipur, the moist & cold bedsheets, the noisy
monkeys, rickshaw sounds and horns we could hear from down
the street...
Next morning, as I pulled away the curtains, I was left perplexed,
again, by these very specific indian aesthetics, which now serve
as a reminder of our adventurous trip....

The Bucegi mountains are part of the large National Park Bucegi, a protected area in Romania. It’s high altitude and
clear weather makes space for interesting natural formations to occure, rare plant species, all in all it being a vast place
left unexplored. If you are curious enough and if you are used to living in a big busy city like myself, I honestly recomend
traveling to Bucegi, as it truly is a place where you can reconect with yourself and nature.
