1 Introduction
Speak UP® a web and mobile application empowers students across the globe to report unpleasant incidents of bullying or any dangerous behavior in a simple and anonymous way. The incidents reported can be on campus or online. These incidents are directly reported to the school authorities, absence of any authority figure at the time of the incident, or simply because the student does not know to whom to speak about it.
The features and benefits of Speak UP®® are as following:

The Speak UP® User Guide helps the users that is, students, teachers and relevant authorities understand the features of the application and use Speak UP® effectively.
Audience
The Speak UP® User Guide is used by the students, teachers and relevant authorities to understand the usage of the application.
2 Getting Started
The users are categorized as students, teachers and head masters. The user needs to log in into the web or the mobile application to access Speak UP®. The log in credentials is created by a school administrator. The user would need the following to get started:

Web browser (Safari, Chrome, Firefox etc.)

3 Log In on Speak UP®
The user needs to Log In into the Speak UP® application to report an incident. The log in credential is different for each user and is categorized as Students, Teachers and Headmaster. To report incidents on the application follow the steps below:
1. Open the Speak UP® application URL by entering https://www.gospeakup.com/SpeakupApp/index.html on a browser. The following Log In page is displayed:

2. On the following page, enter Username and Password; click on Login.
Note: Select the checkbox next to to remember the Log In credentials for the next time.
The Log In page has the following options:
Forgot User name
Forgot Password
Contact Us
The user can change the language for the Speak UP® application by clicking on the right top corner. The following languages are available on the application:

3.1 Forgot Username
The user can request for Username in case the current username is forgotten or lost. To request for a username, follow the steps below:
1. Open the Speak UP® application by using the appropriate URL(https://www.gospeakup.com/SpeakupApp/index.html)
2. On the LOGIN screen, click on Forgot Username hyperlink. The following page is displayed:

3. Enter the registered email address in the Forgot Username window.
4. Click on Send.
3.2 Forgot password
The user can request for Password in case the current password is forgotten or lost. To request for a password, follow the steps below:
1. Open the Speak UP® application by using the appropriate URL(https://www.gospeakup.com/SpeakupApp/index.html)
2. On the LOGIN screen, click on Forgot Password hyperlink. The following page is displayed:

The user can request for a password through email by selecting the radio button next to. Enter Username and click Send.
The user can request a password by selecting the radio button next to. Enter the Username and click on Get Question List.
3.3 Contact Us
The user can request for an account by clicking on Contact Us link. The following page is displayed:

The user can contact their schools for Log In credentials if their schools are enrolled with Speak UP®. In case their school is not enrolled they can fill the form and the Speak UP® will contact them. To fill the form, follow the steps below:
1. Enter the First and Last name.
2. Enter the Position i.e. Student, teacher, headmaster etc.
3. Enter Email Address.
4. Enter School Name.
5. Enter School Location.
Note: the user can click to go back to the Log In page.
4 Student Log In
The user, if a student, can Log In into Speak UP® application with the credentials provided to them. The Dashboard displayed is as follows:

The dashboard opens to Incident Report. The user has the following options on the landing page:
The user can perform the following:
Raise an incident report
Check messages on the previous incident reports
View and Edit the Account settings.
Log Out the application.
4.1 Incident Report
The Landing page opens to Incident Report. The user can raise an incident that is sent to the teachers and headmasters. The following page is displayed:

To raise incident reports follow the steps below:
1. Select if the incident is positive or negative. For positive report click and the Send button highlights in green color.
2. For negative report click, the Send button highlights in Red color.
3. Select Category from the drop down list.
4. Select Location from the drop down list.
5. Describe the incident in detail.
6. Upload Image, if there is one available.
7. Select the check box next to Report Anonymously, if you want to report the incident as anonymous.
8. Click Send.
Note: In case of emergency, please dial 911.
4.2 Messages
The user can check messages on the previous incident reports by clicking on the top. The following page is displayed:

Note: The user can search a message by entering a keyword in the search bar on the top.
The user can click on a message to view details of the incident reported and send a response with an image. The following page is displayed:

4.3 Account
The user can view the current account settings and edit the same by clicking on at top. The following page is displayed:

To edit the settings click on the top. The following page is displayed:

The user cannot edit the account name and the email address and would need to contact the school administrator for the same.
Edit the alternate email address.
Edit contact number.
Click Save.
4.3.1 Change Password
The user can change the account password by clicking on Accounts page. The following page is displayed:

1. Enter the Current Password.
2. Enter New Password.
3. Confirm the New Password.
4. Click Save.
Note: the user can click to go back to the Accounts page.
4.4 Log Out
The user can log out of Speak UP® application by clicking on.
5 Teacher Log In
The user, if a teacher, can Log In into Speak UP® application with the credentials provided to them. The Dashboard displayed is as follows:

The Dashboard for a teacher log in has incident reports and data from the reports represented graphically. This helps teachers to understand the occurrence of the incidents. The graphs on the dashboard page are:
Uploads by category: This is represents categories selected for each incident report.
Where did this happen: This is represents location selected on each incident report.
Overview by class: This represents incidents reported class wise.
Number of categories per day: This represents categories selected for each incident report on daily basis.
Message status: This represents the messages for each incident report open, closed or pending.
Registered users: This represents the users for Speak UP®.
Issues raised: This represents the issues raised on Speak UP®.
The user has the following options on the dashboard page:

5.1 User List
The user can view the list of current users on the Speak UP® application by clicking on the top. The following page is displayed:

The user can view the users list.
The user can search for a user by entering user name in the search bar.
The user can view inactive users by selecting checkbox next to Show inactive users.
To view a user click on the user, the following window pops up:

5.2 Inbox
The user can check the messages in box for the incident reports raised by clicking on the top. The following page is displayed:

The user can view the list of messages for incident reports.
From the left navigation pane they can view the following:
The user can search for a message by entering a keyword in the search bar on the top.
The user can read a message by clicking on it, the following page is displayed:

The user can enter a response by clicking on, the page expands to the following:

The user can delete the message by clicking on.
The user can request more information for an incident raised by clicking on. The following pane is displayed:
Note: the user can click to go back to the Inbox page.
The user can download and print the report by clicking on.
5.3 Account
The user can view the current account settings and edit the same by clicking on at top. The following page is displayed:

5.3.1 Change Password

5.4 Log Out
The user can log out of Speak UP® application by clicking on.
6 Headmaster Log In
The user, if a teacher, can Log In into Speak UP® application with the credentials provided to them. The Dashboard displayed is as follows:

Click on Speak UP® and the following window is displayed:

1. Select Client from the drop down list.
2. Select the School Name from the drop down list.
3. Click Go to proceed further.
4. Click Close to go back.
The dashboard is displayed as following:

The Dashboard for a Headmaster log in has incident reports and data from the reports represented graphically. This helps teachers to under the occurrence of the incidents. The graphs on the dashboard page are:

6.1 Alerts
The user can view alerts sent through Speak UP® and create new alerts by clicking on. The following page is displayed:

The user can view the alerts list.
The user can search for an alert by clicking on.
The user can view an alert by clicking on it, the following window is displayed:

The user can add an alert by clicking on and the following window is displayed:

Enter the Start and End Date.
Enter the Message.
Click on Add to send the alert.
Click Save to add the changes.
Click Cancel to go back.
The user can view inactive holiday alerts by selecting the check box next to Show Inactive Holiday notice.
6.2 User List
The user can view the list of current users on the Speak UP® application by clicking on the top. The following page is displayed:

The user can view the users list.
The user can search for a user by entering user name in the search bar.
The user can view inactive users by selecting checkbox next to Show inactive users.
To view a user click on the user, the following window pops up:

The user can edit the details by clicking on and the following window is displayed:

Edit the necessary changes and click Save to add.
6.3 Inbox
The user can check the messages in box for the incident reports raised by clicking on the top. The following page is displayed:

6.4 Account

6.5 Push Notification
The user can view the notifications received on the Speak UP® application for incidents reported by clicking on. The following page is displayed:

The user can select to all the new messages.
The user can view a notification by clicking on it and the following page is displayed:

The user can add a new notification by clicking on the top. The following window is displayed:

1. Select the school from the drop down list.
2. Select Gender.
3. Select Class from the drop down list.
4. Select Grade from the drop down list.
5. Enter Subject.
6. Type the Message.
7. Click Send to send the notification message.
8. Click Clear to enter the details again.
6.6 Log Out
The user can log out of Speak UP® application by clicking on.
7 Summary
The Speak UP® User Guide helps the user to report an incident, follow up on incidents and keep a track of incidents. The Speak UP® application empowers students and schools to fight against bullying and improper behavior.
