Project Overview: Developed an interactive Power BI dashboard to analyze and visualize road accident data across the United Kingdom for the years 2021 and 2022. The dashboard aimed to provide actionable insights into accident trends, casualty severity, and contributing factors, supporting data-driven decision-making for road safety initiatives. Key Features & Functionalities: Dynamic Visualizations: Implemented slicers and filters to allow users to explore data by various dimensions such as accident severity, vehicle type, road type, weather conditions, and time of day. Geospatial Analysis: Utilized map charts to pinpoint accident hotspots, enabling stakeholders to identify high-risk areas and allocate resources effectively. KPI Metrics: Calculated and displayed key performance indicators (KPIs) including total accidents, fatalities, serious injuries, and slight injuries, with year-over-year comparisons. Trend Analysis: Developed time-series visualizations to track accident trends over months and years, highlighting periods with significant changes in accident rates. Categorical Breakdown: Provided detailed breakdowns of accidents by factors such as road type, vehicle type and accident severity.
