INTRODUCTION
Suggestions For Use:
This book is written for:
1.
Young violinists without music reading skills. It will keep them
interested in learning to play real music.
2. Busy parents of young violinists. This system makes it easy to
help the child to learn the pattern of each piece first.
3. Teachers, working with young and older beginners studying
violin playing. This system will help beginners to play sooner by
learning the pattern of each song. It will introduce a fun way
to play before learning to read music.
4.Anyone who wants to learn these pieces before they know
how to read music.
5. Please, follow with Suggestions For Use and How to Read
Symbols to understand the signs of the book for successful
practice.
1.Start learning the pieces while working on proper violin posture.
2.Listening to Suzuki Violin CD , Volume 1 regularly will help in learning the
pieces easier and faster.
3.Learn the pattern of each piece verbally by naming the fingers’ numbers,
letters, and strings.
4. Work on rhythms for each piece by clapping or tapping while singing
along.
5.Start learning each piece by checking the patterns and strings the piece
is played on.
6. The strings’ order in this book is played by the level of each string from
lowest to highest (E-A-D-G), not by the pitch of the string.
7.It’s helpful to learn one line at a time first and gradually put all lines
together as a piece.
8. You may start using pizzicato practice first and bring the awareness of
the strings’ crossing by right elbow’s up – down turning motions.
9. When starting the bow practice, work on the patterns of each piece’s
string crossings first (also using the up-down turning motion of the
elbow for each string’s level).
Exercise example:
