Our down times dictate our profit times. Hi there my name is Grace and I am the co-founder
owner and creator of filipino virtual assistance. Most of us desire to be productive. We know
that if we do more we're going to gain more and if we give more time focus and energy at the
end of the day we become more productive and we will achieve something towards our
goals. Those are actually very good however, I would also like to challenge you not to be
mindful with activities where you can be productive alone however be mindful of your down
times as well.
Downtimes are moments in our lives where we are lost in time. These are times we’re
probably idle or entertained. Examples of this idle and entertained times are imagining
aimlessly, browsing through social media without a purpose, minding people’s businesses
and watching unimportant videos. Most of us spend so much time in our downtimes and gets
frustrated why we are not successful. Most of us actually tackle our day with our downtimes
and we become idle and become entertained and at the end of the day we have to just
adjust you know our MIT’s or most important tasks because we spent so much time already
during our downtimes and most of those downtimes are just being idle and being
entertained.
We need to change that today and alter our negative habits. In order to do that we have to
do this five things:
1. We have to go and tackle our day with a plan.
2. We have to stick to our routine.
3. We need to replace the negative habits with healthy habits.
4. We need to live our lives according to what we dreamed of and not with everybody's
expectation around us.
5. We need to start confessing positively.
1. When it comes to tackling our day with a plan we need to write all our plans on our
checklist before we go to sleep nor the night before. And when we’ll wake up, no during this
day our day today we need to go through our lists so we know what are the things that we
need to do. We need to tackle our day with a purpose, we need to tackle the day our day
with a certain plan or else we will just be spending our down times with being idle and being
entertained.
2. Sticking to our routines so when you wake up just go through the things on your list and
not being captivated, nor with being idle or being entertained or not being distracted.Go
ahead and don’t be having the lost in time you know in social media minding people’s
business like this person has a new car, this person has a new nail polish, this person went
to Japan for a travel, this person is singing or dancing, this video is funny,
I need to be watching this soap opera or else i’m going to miss something. I’m going to miss
a big event in my life, you need to stop being so captivated with the things which are not
valuable into your goals, and stick to things that will matter in your life. So stick to your
routine go through your checklist and afterwards you gonna reward yourself with probably a
time to social media or a time in netflix however, you need to go through your day on a daily
sticking to your routines.
3. We need to replace negative habits with healthy ones. Healthy ones can be drinking eight
glasses of water a day. Not eating rice, not too much carbohydrates it can probably reading
twenty pages of a book daily or listen to a podcast or exercising or adding one hundred
pesos in your savings account. Whatever it maybe we can replace the downtimeidleness
and being entertained by just sticking to positive habits. They say that it only takes twenty
one days to alter a habit, so you would only need three weeks of consistently going through
you know the healthy habits in order for you to become a lifestyle. And when it’s a lifestyle
you will benefit in the totality of your persona and your success will really benefit when you
alter negative habits and change and stick and be consistent and adapt new positive habits.
4. We need to stop being mindful with what other people are talking about us or thinking
about us or probably not even talking or thinking about us, it’s just in our mindset. We need
to stop living our lives according to people’s expectations. A lot of us are so mindful with the
people’s expectation around us that we have to create activities in order to look someone or
look about to have this prestige or fame and fortune and have this type of persona which is
not really real when it comes to what's your reality, so we need to stop minding what people
expectation of us and really focus on your success, on your goals on your dreams, and work
in secret and let your success be the billboard of it all. So stop living your life according to
the eyes of man and start living your life according to the very dreams and desires of your
heart.
5. Confessing positive confessions. According to James Clear, atomic habit he said that
when your confessing on a daily basis it will alter your mindset, your heart, and the whole
activity. Even if it’s just confessing positively in an empty room or on a mirror or even just
talking to yourself or putting the big notes on your wall, writing them what are your goals, like
being number one, being a positive person, not being unforgiving, whatever it maybe when
your going to confess or say, your going to confess it positively on a daily basis, according
to James Clear of Atomic Habits, it will alter or according to his study it somehow resulted
positively compare to those who were confessing negatively. So start confessing positively in
your situation. I can do this now, I’m going to be productive today, I will be the number one
agent, I will be the number one realtor, i will be the number one freelancer, I will be forgiving,
I will be grateful, whatever positive mindset positive habit that you want to achieve whatever
those goals. Start confessing them, start putting them on your walls and according to James
Clear it will give you positive results.
Again it’s time to turn our downtimes into something that will be profitable because the
moment we’re spending so much time into something that will actually dictate our success
level that will dictate our profitability. That will dictate what type of lifestyle we’re going to live
tomorrow. So today let’s go and alter our negative habits, negative confessions, negative
mindset into positive ones and start going through our downtimes and changing them into
something profitable because again our downtimes dictate our profit times.
