MILKPRO ANALYTICS DASHBOARD FOR AMCS Industry: Dairy | Timeline: | Number of resources: ADDRESS: 12 SF, Maurya Times Square, Opp. R K Royal Hall, Science City Road, Sola, Ahmedabad, Gujarat 38006 -| www.promptsoftech.com BUSINESS REQUIREMENT After gathering vast milk collection data, it is required to analyze that data for various purposes like tracking records, check progression in milk collection, analyze farmers and societies providing more milk, compare and estimate future trends based on previous weekly/ monthly/ yearly data. It helps milk unions and industries to understand demand vs. supply to make better business decisions. Due to such a large database, it becomes quite complex and time consuming to generate reports. It demands for better BI tool which can interact with data and provide detailed analytics on it. The necessity for BI is increasing day by day in industry and so as a part of solution, we have started evaluating preexisting BI tools to tackle growing demand. There are some good and advanced BI tools in market but unfortunately, none of them fit in with AMCS requirements. Functional requirements:         Generate reports per week/month/year Generate reports as per region/society/union Generate reports for all bodies which submit milk regularly Generate reports for all bodies which don’t submit milk regularly Generate reports for milk collection records per day Live milk collection analysis Customizable queries and filters for all reports Interactive data visualization for all reports Non-functional requirements:     Fast and secure Easy to use Browser friendly Works with minimum speed interne OUR SOLUTION With a large database, performance becomes a matter of concern. We created five member team to carry out extensive research about technologies and solutions that can be implemented to overcome the issues. We had to make sure that whatever technology or framework we choose, it must be support existing AMCS application architecture and must be easily pluggable with existing application source. After a rigorous research and development process, we decided upon technology stacks and created two different teams to work on a project called ‘MilkPro Analytics’. Each team had different set of challenges to overcome and varying set of technologies to work with. Backend team: Defined a compatible architecture and set of rules and business requirements to develop highly scalable and secure web application. As the existing BI application was developed in ASP.Net architecture, the same was to be followed for BI application also. Apart from this, they worked with technologies and framework like SSAS and ADMOMD.NET in order to increase performance of data transactions. Front end team: Laid down UI which could fit display of all possible data analytics and its customization on same page. It is fast, easy to use and responsive to work with platform and different screen resolution. The entire UI is developed using customized JS framework built by Prompt Softech that use High Chart for interactive data representation. After successful development of MilkPro Analytics, it was tested through several tough performance benchmarks to compete with user acceptance speed. On each iteration, we tried to make product more responsive and fast by working on all the aspects wherever there was scope of improvement. And as r result of this exercise, Milk Pro analytics delivers reports and data in a fraction of second.
