My Own Philosophy of Education
I believe that there is no perfect way to teach. Each teacher should use his/her personality and beliefs to form their style of teaching. Each teacher has a different approach, methods, and techniques when it comes to the teaching process. Just like teachers, I also believe students have different needs and varying learning styles when it comes to the learning process. The teaching process of the teacher and the learning process of the student should go hand in hand.
As a matter of fact, many of us surely believe that education is not just in the four corners of the classroom. Educators can provide learnings to their students, and learners can acquire knowledge anywhere in this world. But do you agree that the start of formal education is in school? Because on my part, I strongly agree. The school helps the student practice and master the young learner's knowledge and skill, of course, with teachers' involvement. If a teacher is able to cater to each student, there would be a higher possibility of a success rate of education.
As an educator to the young ones, I should be open-minded to the instances that every student is unique. I should be charismatic, so I can create emotional appeal like being respected by the students. I should encourage my students by letting them know how important education is. Learners bring home the knowledge that they have gotten from you and possibly share it with the people around them, so I make sure that every word I spit out is fruitful.
Therefore, my philosophy of education is considering and understanding the differences of individuality. Learners need a variety of teaching methods, and at the same time, we, the educators, need to have broad knowledge as we are the source of their actual definition of education.
