SEO Plan Proposals
SEO Plan for Fresh Perspective Seminars
Target Audience
The target audience focuses on students, particularly those who are in their college years, or those who are planning to go to college. The said market also involves parents who sends these students and pays for tuition fees, allowances, etc.
Main Pain Point
1. Because going to college is very expensive, both students and parents are looking for ways and means on how to be able to avail college education while minimizing costs.
Targeted Keywords
Since the website is created for the purpose of helping students and parents be able to afford college education, I have conducted existing keyword research on the website and this is the result:
The keywords being used is more focused on Gwen Thomas. We may reconsider rewording many of the website content so as to create engagement with those that actually visit the website and seek for info that could help in meeting needs. Based on some of the keyword research results, some of the most significant to the website may be as follows:
College Affordability
Sending Kids to College
Afford College
These are just three of the keywords used initially for researching as to which would be a great focus on. Based on initial analysis, it looks like focusing on “Afford College” with issues on Financial Aid, Paying for College Tuition, and Getting Financial Aid best serves the pain points of the target market.
Keyword Categorization
I have also created a Keyword Categorization Plan that centers on what is being offered in the website. Categories are: Career Development, Child Development, College Affordability, College Apprenticeship, College Debt, College Education, College Fellowship, College Financial Planning, College Scholarship, College Tuition, Marketing Communications, Parenting Plan, Raise A Child, Scholarship Essay, and Young Entrepreneurs.
All the said categories already have a list of keywords, averaging between 150 to more than 300 each. All of the keywords in the said categories can be used for reference when creating content, brainstorming keywords to use when focusing trends and issues over social media. In order to use the said categorization properly, used keywords should be indicated in the excel file with when and how it was utilized.
At the moment the said file in excel is submitted, no filtering has been done to show how many potential keywords are available for utilization to contents all over the website. Statistical data are not available due to the limitations of a free account. Once a premium account has been availed, then statistical data like Search Volume, CPC, and AdWords Competition; all valuable factors in determining the effectivity of the keywords being used in gaining the upper hand of the site’s SEO.
Prioritization
This particular step can only be employed when statistical data like Search Volume and Competition are available. However, we can go through the campaign with the instinctive focus of the market in mind. High Search Volume with certain keywords can be valuable in determining as to which keyword is being sought greatly through Google. AdWords Competition is an indicator of which keywords other websites use to gain customers over (i.e. keywords being used by leading rankers can be used against them).
Design Elements
A rehashing of the website’s layout may be considered. These days, customers are more into fluidity, responsiveness, and quick loading times, while not compromising appearance, function, and dynamics. In the current website, we may consider using a whole new theme; more importantly a whole new system, being WordPress, for its SEO friendliness and ease of implementation and use.
The current elements may still be used, such as images, videos, and content. But these will be utilized in the sense of using meta tags and keywords for each element. Also, we may need to reword many of the current content to meet the needs of the market in terms of the keywords they use to find whatever is in the website.
URL Considerations
There are no considerations to this one as the current setup is okay as is. Links should always be short, simple, and easy to navigate.
Internal Linking
One of the methods that should be helped, in order to activate SEO activity within the website, is the availability of the links all across the board to help customers navigate from one page to another with ease. One good example is under the Seminars Page. Instead of having everything in one page, a summary of the seminars being offered can lead to a link where a more detailed description of the seminars can be provided, and adding a custom form for visitors to populate and send info over. Also, each page should have links that could guide them to related content, i.e. blogs.
External Linking
No suggestions with this one as the setup with social media accounts are okay. However, it could also help if social media sites could have links that sends the readers to the website, which is automatically a way to promote website activity.
Blogging Considerations
Definitely a blog would go a long way to help customers become engaged with the updates going on with the website. The blog could be created within the website and can be reposted in social media accounts. Frequency of the new content could be once or twice a week, with a considerable gap in between to promote consistency and expectations for both the readers and the writers.
Content Issues
Using stock images are great for content with blogs. However, using exclusive high-quality images from actually seminars, trainings, and workshops are more recommended.
Site Features
The following features can add impact to the purpose and functions of the website.
1. Main Page Slider for images
2. Custom Forms in the Main Page and Sub Pages
3. Buttons to be linked to different website sections
4. Responsive Features that can flex site appearance among devices such as iPhones, Android Phones, iPads, PCs, etc.
5. WordPress for features like full site SEO, Robots, Metas, Autoresponders, and more
