A Look at Hotel Special Offers
A Look at Hotel Special Offers
Competition among hotels is just becoming stiffer in an age where technology has dominated the present global landscape. There are hotels that bank on good reputation especially the premier or the five-star ones; while some would pride themselves on their superior customer service which would make one think that he or she is just at home, but without having to spend much on their reservation; and there are others that become seasonal destinations or holiday spots with all amenities combined.
Ultimately, what would make the guest decide on the hotel where he or she will spend the vacation at would be the special offers that hotels would have under their sleeve.
Hotel management would come up with perks, termed special offers, and these have two purposes:
1. these are usually add-ons to the regular reservations/bookings and standard inclusions which, when taken advantage of by the guest, are cheaper and would translate to added value; and
2. hotel special offers would leave a lasting imprint in the guest’s stay, to ensure a repeat business from his or her end and will keep them coming back for another vacation, getaway, or simply an escape from the hassles of urban living.
These offers vary by location and market, and hotel management would usually tailor-fit these specials to the local populace in order for their guests to get a feel of how it is like to experience living in that locale. Seasons would also be a big factor in the frequency of these offers, so expect more offers come the merriest of the holidays as business would be brisk by that time.
Some popular examples of hotel special offers would be:
1. A package of accommodation for a set number of days, the least would be two or three days but not exceeding five to seven at most, coupled with a getaway to either the hotel’s swimming pool or Jacuzzi and an soothing trip to the hotel’s spa where one can enjoy a pampering massage, all bundled at a minimal cost;
2. Accommodation offers with free or discounted transfers from the airport upon arrival and vice versa, thus eliminating the hassle of taking advantage of airport services on the guest’s end;
3. Accommodation offers with deals at the hotel’s restaurant, which normally are avant-garde buffet meals.
Other examples of special offers that guests could choose from, ranging from but not limited to:
1. hotel-hosted in-house parties or breaks including accommodation,
2. getaway packages to tourist destinations,
3. views of the seaside and beaches, and city tours, and
4. packages where guests can bring their dogs inside the hotel without the risk of being separated from the master, thus attracting pet-loving guests.
These special offers from hotels not just bring revenue to the hotel business, but add extra value not only to the guests themselves, but also the overall satisfaction of their vacation that they undertook. On the management side, special offers are something that should not be taken for granted because it also helps determine the value and reputation of their business.
