Beauty not as portrayed in soap’s ad campaign:
You pick this soap and turn beautiful in just 14 days. See the color of your skin changing like the model of the ad who is just perfect in every sense. She turns to be an idolized beauty. Every girl wishes to become like her thinking she is real. Do we really know how she looks in person?
She might have her bad hair days, acne popping up at the most inappropriate times, she might have had her fashion and makeup blunders. The real beauty lies in being real, imperfect and flawed. That makes you who you are to the people who love you unconditionally. We are always being told if you change this about yourself you would be just perfect, counter them and say “I am just perfect the way I am”.
I am not stopping anyone to work on their self-improvement. It’s a lifelong process. Rather I am requesting you to stop setting unachievable standards and cringe in sadness that you are not like someone else. Don’t try to be someone else.
It so happens that the idea of false beauty takes a toll on the mental health of people. These ads have created an unseen push somewhere for the people to seek acceptance and live up to the false beauty standards giving up all their mental peace. They are majorly responsible for drifting people away from the reality. REMEMBER there is only one “YOU” in this entire world. No other person is exactly like you.
You might have the most expressive eyes, most friendly smile, perfectly shaped nose but you are always made to believe that there is something lacking. Your attractiveness does not depend on your looks only or the whiteness of the skin. It depends on various factors like the beauty of your thoughts, caring, compassion and other aspects of your behavior.
