Automation Workflow Examples

Automation Engineer | Zapier • Make • n8n • Airtable • APIs • Stripe Connect
I design and build automation systems that reduce manual operations, improve data reliability,
and support scalable internal workflows.
Below are examples of real client automations I’ve implemented across marketplace payments,
geo-based matching, and event-driven operations.
1. Marketplace Payments & Creator Payout Automation
(Make + Stripe Connect)
Project: Content Bar (Creator Marketplace Platform)
Tools: Make, Stripe Connect, Airtable, Webhooks
Content Bar required more than basic payments — it needed a structured system to manage a
two-sided marketplace:
● brands pay for content projects
● creators receive payouts
● admins maintain approval and audit control
To support this, I implemented Stripe Connect automations inside Make to handle the full
payment lifecycle.
Workflow Highlights:
● Webhook triggers on successful checkout or payout events
● Stripe Connect account creation and onboarding logic
● Automated transfer flows to creators based on platform rules
● Airtable synchronization for payment status, order tracking, and audit visibility
● Reliable permissions and lifecycle states to prevent payout errors
Impact:
This automation created a scalable payment backbone where money movement, approvals,
and creator payouts were fully tracked and operationally safe.
2. Geo-Based Provider Matching Automation (Zapier +
Geoapify API)
Project: Location Search Enhancement (Healthcare Marketplace)
Tools: Zapier, Airtable, Geoapify API, JavaScript, Webhooks
In many service platforms, location isn’t a simple field — it determines whether users can
actually find the right provider.
For this project, I built an automation system that converts provider addresses into structured
geo-coordinates and enables proximity-based matching.
Workflow Breakdown:
● Airtable triggers when a new provider location is added or updated
● Zapier sends the address to the Geoapify Geocoding API
● Latitude/longitude data is extracted and normalized
● Records are updated automatically inside Airtable
● Location-aware search becomes accurate and seamless for end users
Why this mattered:
Users don’t search by town names — they search by distance and convenience.
This workflow made the platform’s matching experience fast, reliable, and scalable.
3. Event-Driven Operations Automation (n8n + Airtable +
Notifications)
Use Case: Stripe Payment Confirmation → System Update → Messaging
Tools: n8n, Webhooks, Airtable, Gmail, Slack
To support production-grade automation workflows, I also work with n8n for flexible
orchestration, conditional logic, and system integrations.
This workflow demonstrates a core operational pattern used in SaaS and marketplaces:
Workflow Logic:
● Webhook receives an incoming payment or event signal
● Airtable records are searched and updated instantly
● Conditional routing handles success vs failure paths
● Automated email confirmations are sent through Gmail
● Internal Slack alerts notify the operations team in real time
Key Strength:
This approach ensures automations are resilient — designed around state, visibility, and failure
handling, not just triggers.
Summary
Across Zapier, Make, and n8n, my focus is consistent:
● building workflows that survive edge cases
● integrating APIs cleanly
● maintaining audit-ready operational systems
● delivering automation that teams can trust at scale
