Amanda, who had an impressive rap talent in her, but hadn't been heard by anyone, got up and left with nothing but a second hand MP3 player, a backpack, and torn notebook which she believed was her trusted companion and held her future. She ran as fast as her leg could carry her, far to a place where she wasn't even assured of success and not known. She eventually ended up on the streets of California. At first, she thought it was a city which had so much opportunity, a place where all her dreams could be achieved, but she never knew that for her dreams to come true, she had to pay a far greater price than she could ever imagine all her entire life. The first few weeks for her were hell, as she had to endure sleeping under bridges, trying to find a home in abandoned and uncompleted buildings. As if that wasn't enough, she battled hunger that almost resulted in chronic ulcer. Her love for music kept her going. For every situation she found herself, she developed them into lyrics that became her life saving. Sometimes, she even chose to rap out the lyrics written down to ease herself of the sense of loneliness, fear, and regrets. There were times when she only had to make do with words of thanks from strangers and once in a while meal from them, but it was her love for music that kept her going. It was a festive season of which she was not even aware of. She was halfway through a rap song about her life, family and the streets when she felt a powerful presence. Amanda took a deep breath, closed her eyes and started all over again. She rapped as if her whole life depended on it. Every passing rap hit harder than the last. Her voice grew stronger, and the fire in her eyes could not be denied. Snoop Dogg watched on, smiled in admiration with serious focus. He ended the recording immediately after she finished singing.
