We are mostly engrossed in the physical aspect of capacity, we talk more about our physical well being and less on mental well being, but we have failed to understand that to be perfectly effective physically, our mental capacity must be built to a healthy level so as not to break down at the end of the day.
What do we understand by mental capacity?
Medical definition states that mental capacity is when you have sufficient understanding and memory to grasp in a broad way the situation in which one sees oneself and the nature, purpose, and repercussion of any act or issue into which one is to delve into.
Mental capacity helps you break information down and be able to in the simplest form make use of such information or situation as at when due. If growth is a priority to you, building your mental capacity must be built to increase so as to be able to take on bigger responsibilities.
We know that having physical capacity helps you take on heavier and bigger stuffs, which is why people work on growing their muscles to accommodate more weight. Same goes with mental capacity, to take on larger and bigger responsibilities; you must be ready to build your mental capacity to accommodate these potential responsibilities.
5 tips to effectively building your mental capacity are:
(1) Do not settle in your comfort zone

(2) Make friends with people above your level
Your mental capacity will surely grow when you start making friends with those that are above you in your field, those with enough experience in what you currently do. Ask them questions, watch their lives, imitate some of their activities and be ready to open up to them. With time, you will surely grab part of their knowledge which grows your mental capacity.
(3) Read creative books
Be ready to read creative books, be it science books, comedy or any kind of books that open up your brain to question your capacity, it helps you seek answers and also sharpens your mental capacity.
(4) Learn stuffs not in your path
Pick on things you normally wouldn’t spend time doing, if you are sporty individual, learn how to sing, play instruments, write books or anything not within the sporting world.
