When I was a little girl, I always say I wanted to be a nurse so that I can help those who are sick and treat them so that they wouldn’t feel sick anymore. I did study to be a nurse, but since we were unable to provide for a four year course at that time I just study a 2 year course which is practical nursing, I finished it and graduated but unfortunately that time it was hard to land a job when you are not a four year graduate and a board passer as well. But when I decided to continue my nursing study to a four year course I came upon the course social work and ask about it, and I fell in love with it so I studied it for four years and now I want to help those individuals, families and groups who are facing problems to improve their lives. My weakness is that I used to like to work on one project to its completion before starting on another, but I've learned to work on many projects at the same time, and I think it allows me to be more creative and effective in each one. And for my strength I think it is my passion to help those who are in need of help and that I am hard worker, I always want to learn and improve my skills. I graduated last April 2015 and took my licensure examination by the end of July 2015 and I passed the exam and I am now a registered Social worker, A Social Worker helps with a wide range of situations. They help individuals, families and groups to cope with the problems that they are facing to improve their patients’ lives. As a social worker it is challenging because not all people want to change or heal, they tend to stick with what they think that is right yet it is a rewarding career especially if we have seen the improvement of the client. After learning that passed my exam I started to apply to various companies. I was hired by 3, but I choose to work at the hospital near to the place of where I live. I became the Social worker of the hospital. I worked there for almost Six months and had to because of some unavoidable circumstance. I want to join this network because I think it will be a great platform for me to start my freelancing career since I am new to it. I am applying to become a freelance so that I can still take care of my little one while doing my job. I expect that this network will be able to help me advance my career and be able to grow professionally freelancer. I will like to start at $3.00/hour since I am new to this and once I learned all the skills and be able to satisfy my clients with the service I provide for them I will then think about my rate. I am good at communicating with young and old people, I can easily adapt to my new environment, I like to give advices to people, dealt with difficult patients/clients from the hospital, effective listening skills, and I follow instructions and maintain my focus on the job that is needed to be done so I can provide good service.
