Task 3 - Product Analysis
Task 3 – Product Analysis
For this exercise, you need to find products that meet certain criteria. Follow the instructions completely
to yield the expected output.
1. Open this Google Sheet: Product Analysis.
2. “Make a copy” of the template then rename the file from “Product Analysis” to your complete
name.
3. Set the sharing settings of your copy to “Anyone with the link” can “View”.
Search for products in Amazon that meet ALL the criteria below. You can randomly search products in
Amazon.com or you may use the data from the product leads of task 2. Again, the product should meet
ALL 3 criteria.
a. Product price should be greater than or equal to $20. If the product has a listing price of
greater than or equal to $20 then, move to the next point as it passes the 1 st criteria. If
not, move on to the next product.
b. Ensure that Amazon is not a seller. Click on the link for all sellers to be redirected to the
offer listing page. Scroll through the list of sellers and if you see Amazon’s name as one
of them, this product fails the requirement so look for a new product. Otherwise, move to
the 3rd point.
c. Check that the product is not restricted by ensuring that there are 3 or more sellers of
this product. Sample screenshot to be uploaded in the template is below:
4. Once a product meets all the above criteria, it’s time to fill out the Product Analysis template.
a. Get the product’s ASIN. On the listing, look for Product Details section which is
normally in between the middle and bottom portion of the page.
b. Copy the ASIN then paste it into Column A of your Product Analysis template.
c. Get the link to the product page from the web address bar then paste it into Column B of
your template.
d. Take a screenshot of the product showing the image, title and the price. Below is the
sample of an acceptable screenshot:
Upload it to your Google Drive then paste the link of the screenshot into Column C. Set
the sharing settings of your screenshot to “Anyone with the link” can “View”.
e. On Column D, select “Yes” if Amazon is a seller of this product and “No” if not.
f.
Take a screenshot of the product showing the image, title and the seller list. If the list
of sellers will not fit the screenshot, make sure to capture at least 4 sellers. Below is the
sample of an acceptable screenshot:
Upload it to your Google Drive then paste the link of the screenshot into Column E. Set
the sharing settings of your screenshot to “Anyone with the link” can “View”.
