Who I am?
I am Nicholus De-Oliveira, I am 29 years of age,
and residing in Ezulwini, eBuka near KaMaseko.
an Architect with 4+ years of experience in the
field. I am well equipped with self-taught skills
and experience in other fields such as
Mechanical skills, Plumbing, and Electrical Skills
to name a few, more are seen on the attached
Resume. I have experience as a Sales Agent
currently with MTN Eswatini, working under the
CEX Department. I have both Interior Design and
Landscaping Design as well as maintenance
skills as supported by my Resume.
I have good Communication skills, and Leadership skills which are supported by my
Leadership Award attached to my Resume. I have a Degree in Architecture and have
worked on several small and large-scale projects alone as well as with the Companies I
was employed in, a Certificate in ARCHICAD increasing knowledge on software use and
traceable references. I believe that my skill set, energy, time management skills, and
much more could benefit the company and department in service delivery and finishing
tasks on time I believe I could improve and I am eager to learn more.

THE CLIENT WANTED SOMETHING MODERN BUT STILL
PRACTICAL FOR STUDENTS TO USE. THE CLIENT WANTED
THE BUILDING TO MAKE A STATEMENT. THEY WERE
LOOKING TO ADD ADDITIONAL CLASSROOMS FOR LABS
AND OTHER LEARNING ACTIVITIES. AN ADDITION OF NEW
ABLUTIONS WHICH ARE DIVIDED FOR ALL TO USE, THESE
INCLUDE TEACHER'S TOILETS BOTH MALE AND FEMALE,
BOYS AND GIRLS ABLUTIONS, AND A PARAPLEGIC TOILET.
A RAMP TO BE ATTACHED TO THE FIRST FLOOR AND A
MEANS OF A COVERED STAIRWAY FOR ALL TO USE. THE
CLIENT WAS LOOKING TO BRING IN A MODERN FINISH
AND TO KEEP THE BUILDING UNIFORM WITH SCHOOL.

WITHIN A CERTAIN BUDGET HE HAD GIVEN ME, HE WAS
LOOKING TO ACCOMMODATE A FAMILY OF 3 PEOPLE
HENCE THE ONE-BEDROOM DESIGN ALONGSIDE A
SHOWER, LIVING AREA, KITCHEN, AND ENTRANCES. HE
OPTED FOR A HIP ROOF WHICH TIES IN NICELY WITH THE
FACADE OF CHOICE. THE CLIENT IS TO BUILD UNITS ON
SWAZI NATION LAND AND TARGET FAMILIES OF ONE OR
ANY BACHELOR LOOKING TO LIVE COMFORTABLY. WE
CHOSE TO USE NATURAL LIGHTING FOR LESS ENERGY
CONSUMPTION. THE CLIENT IS TO DECIDE ON THE FINAL
PAINTWORK.

THE CLIENT WAS LOOKING TO GO INTO THE HOUSING
BUSINESS AND WANTED SOMETHING UNIQUE AND
DIFFERENT FROM MOST HOUSING. HE WANTED A ONEBEDROOM HOUSE THAT WAS COMPACT BUT
FUNCTIONAL, HE WANTED SOMETHING NEW BUT NOT
COSTLY. I OPTED FOR A STUDIO APARTMENT LOOK AND
FILL, WHERE THE KITCHEN AND LIVING AREA ARE
COMPACT BUT LIVABLE. HE OPTED FOR A FLAT ROOF TO
SAVE ON COST. HOUSE WAS TO INCLUDE A BEDROOM
WHICH HAS ITS OWN SHOWER AND WASTE CLOSET,
DIVIDED BY A SHORT WALL BETWEEN ROOM AND LIVING
AREA+KITCHEN.

THE CLIENT WANTED A FAMILY HOME FOR HIS WIFE AND
2 CHILDREN, HE WANTED SOMETHING SPACIOUS BUT
WITHIN A LIMITED BUDGET. THE PROJECT WAS TOUGH AS
THE CLIENT WANTED SO MUCH WITHIN THIS BUDGET. HE
WAS LOOKING FOR A HIPPED ROOF TOGETHER WITH A
SINGLE GARAGE, 2 BEDROOMS WITH A SHARED
BATHROOM, OPEN LIVING SPACE, ENTRANCE, AND PATIO.
A LOT OF CHANGES WERE MADE UNTIL A FINAL DESIGN
WAS AGREED ON AND FITTED HIS BUDGET WELL. WE
WENT FOR SOMETHING MODERN BUT PRACTICAL,
SPACIOUS BUT CIST EFFECTIVE.

THE CLIENTS WERE READY TO MOVE OUT FROM RENTING
TO OWNING SOMETHING THAT WAS THEIRS, SOMETHING
TO MAKE A STATEMENT WITH, SOMETHING UNIQUE BUT
PRACTICAL AND SPACIOUS. THEY WERE LOOKING TO
HOUSE AT LEAST 250 CHURCH MEMBERS, HAVE AN
OFFICE, AN ABLUTION AREA FOR BOTH MALES AND
FEMALES, A RECEPTION AREA, A BAPTISM PIT, AND AN
ENTRANCE FOR HOSTING LARGE EVENTS. THEY WANTED
ENOUGH LIGHT AND SOMETHING PEOPLE COULD SEE
FROM A MILE AWAY. I OPTED FOR A MODERN ENTRANCE
AREA WHICH TIED IN NICELY WITH THE CHOICE OF ROOF
CLIENTS HAD CHOSEN.

1. Increased skill level on software usage such as ARCHICAD( Supported by
Certificate), LUMION(used for rendering at work), TWINMOTION(used for
rendering at work), ATLANTIS and AUTOCAD. Below are some key points of
note:
Knowledge such as the use of layers, and graphical overrides (in response
to the renovation tool and submission overrides).
The use of Schedules to produce fast and reliable information i.e. Window
& Door Schedules, Curtain wall Schedules, etc.
The use and creation of company templates for fast and reliable use of
ARCHICAD.
The use and creation of 3D Components for smooth detailing and
presentation ie the use of complex profiles, morphs, shell tools, and much
more.
Knowledge of the documentation process and the use of the organizer
