Strange things humans do
We are the masters of Earth, but are we perfect? We have answers to millions of questions yet we fail to understand why we are the way we are. We take for granted the simplest of our traits… Funny things make us yell out spastically – we call it laughter. Similarly, we spend about one third of the day in a deathlike state of suspended animation, also known as sleep. But if you stop for a moment and think about it, human nature and some of its traits will seem bizarre.
Here is a list of strange things that humans do:
1) In the winter, we like to stay warm. In the summer, we like to be cool. Why this confusion?
2) Sports – Ever noticed sports is usually about grown men kicking, chasing, catching, hitting or throwing a ball?
3) We have two eyes - Yet our vision is 3-D.
4) Yuo cna raed tihs. Pweor of the hmuan mnid. (You can make sense of words even if the spellings are incorrect)
5) In America, when they are injecting a convict on death row, they sterilize the needle. What could be the reason? What is the point of being humane towards a person sentenced to die? Or why kill someone if you’re trying to be humane?
6) Everybody has done this – When you are hungry, you open the fridge… and find it empty. A few minutes later, you do it again. Did you expect the food to appear magically?
7) Young people want to look older. Older people try to look younger.
8) If you see someone fall from a 100 story building and then run over by a tank, the first question you will most likely ask on impulse – Are you alright?
9) Men checking out women sometimes believe that they borrowed Harry Potter’s invisibility cloak and they can’t be seen.
10) We’re willing to fight and die to protect arbitrary lines on the land (borders), but aloof to the suffering and problems of our neighbors.
Here’s the last one... You will most likely forget about this article soon after reading, but someday, unexpectedly, something will trigger your memory and you will remember what you’ve read here. Strange, aren’t we?
