Adobe Acrobat PDF Files
Files with PDF file format are universal file format by Adobe® Portable Document
Format (PDF) and it preserves all of the text, fonts, formatting, colours and graphics of
its source document. In doing so it does not consider the application and platform used
to create it.
It is an ideal format for sharing documents and distributing electronic documents over
the web as it overcomes problems commonly encountered with such file sharing.
Anyone, anywhere can open a PDF file. It requires the Adobe Acrobat
Reader which is a freely available. Other file formats can’t be
sometimes opened by their recipients because of unavailability of application
used to create the document or its version.
PDF files always print correctly on any printing device.
PDF files always display exactly as created, regardless of fonts, software, and
operating systems. Unlike other files in PDF files Fonts and graphics are not lost
due to platform, software, and version incompatibilities.
On the web Compact PDF files are displayed faster by downloading a page at a
time and are smaller than their source files.
The Reader is freely distributed and downloaded by anyone.
