Headache is any pain you experience in your head. Headaches' pain varies with the type and intensity at which the affected region aches. Drink plenty of water.
Dehydration is a condition that can cause severe headaches. The body is a composition of water you take daily. The human body needs a sufficient amount of water for all the parts to function correctly. Every minute you are prone to losing specific amounts of water through biological processes like sweating and peeing. Dehydration causes brain tissues to constrict and pull away from the skull. This results in a headache as the receptor cells around the brain tend to trigger some pain. To avoid this, take plenty of water, at least eight glasses in a day to keep your body well hydrated.
Take enough sleep
For people to survive, there are the basic needs that one must have like food, shelter and clothing. Just the same way for the body to be physically fit, you need to sleep alongside air and food to function well. There is a notion that it is through sleep that the body regenerates new brain cells. Through sleep, the body rests, taking a break off the day's activities. Depriving your body enough sleep as well as sleeping too much causes headaches. Get sleep at least 7 – 9 hours per night, which gives your body enough rest.
Take coffee and other caffeinated drinks
Once you withdraw from taking caffeinated drinks, there is a notion that you might experience sequenced headaches. If you are used to handling these types of drinks, chances are your body becomes addicted. Make yourself a caffeinated beverage and sip, and this might soothe the headache away.

Minimize scenes of eyestrain.
Eyestrain can be caused by spending more hours stuck on a computer device. Take regular breaks to avoid fixing eyes on your computer for long hours. Eyestrain can cause headaches that can range from mild to severe. Ensure the lighting in the computer device is moderate. It is not healthy for book lovers to do your reading under direct sunlight as this may cause headaches.
Use cold or hot compressors.
It is a therapy where you use an ice bag and place it over the affected area of your forehead or neck. It will help soothe the blood vessels and allow the flow of blood to the body tissues. Also, you can use a towel that has been dipped in hot water to soothe your muscles.
Although some of the mentioned home remedies might not be a permanent solution to your headaches, these remedies can help you save some coins you would have used to consult a doctor for other useful things. However, if you experience consistent headaches that are regular, it is advised that you seek medical attention.
