61.06 MATTERS ARISING
The president urged parents to always report matters concerning their children’s welfare to the

Update on Solar – the Vice President appreciated parents for this laudable achievement. He
tagged it as a legacy project. He said that between 13 th May – 31st October, 2024, fourteen (14)
parents gave a total of Six Hundred and Forty Five (₦645,000) naira.
The president appreciated parents for this generous donation. It was agreed that the Solar Water
Heating System should be protected . Parents thanked God for His faithfulness and for keeping
their children alive for the past six (6) years. The President suggested that annual thanksgiving
should be incorporated into the PTA programme to express thanks to God for His providence. A
parent welcomed this idea and it was adopted.
61.07 FINANCIAL REPORT
On behalf of the Financial Secretary who was unavoidably absent, the Secretary read the financial
report . The financial report had a Total Income of ₦2,433,448.80, Total Expenditure of

61.08 SCHOOL UPDATE
a.
The Vice Principal Admin said that JSS 1 (New students) are well behaved. He welcomed
all new parents and announced that one of the new parents is an alumnus of the school.
b.
2024 WAEC RESULT – Students performed wonderfully well. None of them recorded
F9.
c.
CBT – He announced to parents that the school’s JAMB CBT tutorials have been extended
to SS2 classes. Though the tutorials are sometimes interrupted as a result of power outage but
the school has made provision for a generator for a seamless tutorial.
d.
BEREAVEMENT – The bereavement of Mr. Alexander Ajibo, a spouse of a member of
staff, Mrs. Millicent Ajibo was announced. A minute silence was observed in his honour.
e.
SCHOOL FOOD – The vice principal announced to parents about some adjustments that
was made on the school menu. He said that the school has introduced Sweet Potatoes and ‘Gote’
as part of their meals. Though, some students don’t like it but others are excited for having these
foods on the menu. The school will continue to make necessary adjustments but will provide and
maintain good food for the students.
f.
FEES REVIEW/STAFF WELFARE - The Vice Principal also announced that the
Proprietor will slightly increase the school fees in January, 2025 (Second term) to enable him
look after the staff welfare. The President responded by appreciating the Proprietor, Management
and staff for their hard work and congratulated them for the excellent results in WAEC 2024. A
parent responded that things have not been easy. That before now they have witnessed several
increases in the fees. He suggested that the school should be considerate.
A parent suggested that a staff welfare Trust fund should be created for the staff
Another parent said, as civil servants, an increase in the minimum wage was announced by the
government but they have not received anything yet. He supported the idea of creating a staff
trust fund instead of the increment.
The Vice Principal responded that it was due to hike in prices of foodstuff that even the little
adjustment the school made was not enough to maintain the standard of feeding here hence the
need for slight increase that the basic/tuition fee remain unchanged. It is the feeding that will be
slightly increased.
g.
NEW PARENTS - He welcomed new parents and asked them to stand and remain
standing as one of the old parents was asked to pray for them.
61.09 EXHORTATION
The President, Mr. Chukwuemeka Egbo gave the exhortation on the topic: Do Not Be Anxious
from Matthew 6:25-34. He reminded the house the Bible encouraged us not to be anxious about
life (v25), about clothing (v28), about what to eat (v31), and about tomorrow (34). He stated that
they are two reasons why you do not need to be anxious in the times that we are in, which are: (i)
Your father values you (v25-30), and (ii) Your father provides for you (vs 31-34). He reminded
the parents that they have a greater value than the things that keep life going; life is more than
things, to keep their minds on the sovereign provision of God, that God is able to provide for
them, and to lay their burdens on God’s shoulder. If God has given you this life, he will take care
of it. He then prayed after the exhortation.

D.
