Sample 2
Artificial intelligence and robotics
Introduction:
The Robotics and Artificial Intelligence, although addressing in a similar type of domains. Both fields intermingle lucratively in the area of constructing intelligent agents; this mutual relation has given rise to significant advancements in the area of vision and phased action. Recent developments in technologies, including computation, machine learning, robotics and communication brings us closer to innovative apparitions of compassionate intelligent machines.
Basically, a robot is a machine that collects information about its environment through the senses and practices that information to follow instructions and to do work upon accordingly [CITATION Che161 \l 1033 ]. A robot is a biomechanical or electromechanical device or cluster of devices that can perform tedious or preprogrammed tasks. A robot may perform under the direct human control or independently. Robots are being intended to perform precision surgery, discover space, the ocean, and other dangerous areas in the universe.
Whereas, Artificial Intelligence (AL) is a branch of Science, which deals with finding a solution of complex day to day problems in a more human-like manner [ CITATION Hut14 \l 1033 ]. This commonly involves borrowing human characteristics from human heuristics and implementing them as algorithms in a computer-friendly environment. AI generally falls in the domain of Computer Science, but it has many key links with other disciplines such as Psychology, Math, Cognition, Philosophy, and Biology among many others [ CITATION LPK88 \l 1033 ]. The possible applications of Artificial Intelligence are stretched from the military for discrete control and target selection, to the entertainment, for computer games and robotic pets.
AI is arguably the most thrilling arena in robotics. Although most controversial, it is a fact that a robot can work on an assembly line, but there is no agreement that robot can ever feel emotions or be intelligent. Ultimate AI can be regarded as a recreation of the human thought process that depends on the intelligence of man but infused in robotics by making a machine to understand with the help of reasoning [ CITATION Swa16 \l 1033 ]. It will include the ability to learn just about anything, the ability to reason, the ability to use language and the ability to formulate original ideas. Robots are nowhere near to equal this level of artificial intelligence. Today’s AI machines can replicate a few of these qualities artificially.
AI and robots have been used in a variety of dimensions, including stock trading, medical diagnosis, law, robot control, scientific discoveries, military, e-business, Air Operation Division (AOD), entertainment, exploration, toys, and games. However, because of the AI effect, many developments are not perceived as AI. A lot of cutting edge AI has turned into general applications, often without being called AI.
Conclusion:
To sum up; different facets of intelligent behavior, such as resolving problems, drawing inferences, learning, and understanding language, have successfully been coded as computer programs. The compulsion of providing solutions that work efficiently has driven AI research along significant new dimensions of research in insight and planning. For the endeavor to get success, further advancement will be needed for AI and robotics the domains of belief revision and learn to enable the devices that can sense the environment minutely and act accordingly.
