Stuart Ross Carlson released two albums: An Accomplished Violinist & Composer with a Unique Story
Stuart Ross Carlson’s latest back to back albums "Portrait of a Landscape: SEASONS" and "Carols for Christmas" showcase his talent as a violinist & composer. His music style covers a wide range of genres that are well-rounded with different instrumental masterpiece arrangements.
As an arranger and composer, both albums feature special instrumental melodies that will touch your heart and soul. A perfect combination of violin, piano, and guitar that will take you to your happy memories with uplifting music as well as resonate with melancholic and emotional tracks.
Stuart Ross Carlson (b. 1996) is an accomplished violinist and composer with a unique story. Although diagnosed with autism at age 3, he earned two Undergraduate Degrees (violin performance and composition) and two Graduate Degrees (viola performance) from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.
Stuart has had the opportunity to learn from some of the finest teachers/artists in the world including (violinists) Rodney Friend, Yuzuko Horigome, and Simon James; (composers) Evan Chambers, Paul Schoenfield, Michael Daugherty, and Bright Sheng; and (violist) Caroline Coade. His talent is well recognized by winning numerous awards and competitions, including the 2016 VSA International Young Soloists Competition and the 2017 University of Michigan School of Music Concerto Competition.
Currently, Stuart is a member of the Ann Arbor Symphony Orchestra, performs regularly with the Michigan Philharmonic, and has performed across the US and UK as a soloist and ensemble member. He is a published arranger/composer, plays violins made by the Voller Brothers (1887) and Feng Jiang, and a viola by Grubaugh & Seifert. Also, Stuart is also a licensed ham radio operator and enjoys running his "part 15" radio station and listening to popular music.
