Subject: Proposal: Collaboration Between YouWin and "NYSC With Purpose" Book Initiative
Dear Sir,
I hope this letter finds you well. I am writing to introduce you to an exciting initiative that aligns perfectly with YouWin's mission to promote entrepreneurship
among Nigerian youth.
"NYSC With Purpose - Making The Most of Your Service Year" is an inspiring and practical guide authored by Mr. Bashiru Adamu, a former National Youth
Service Corps (NYSC) member. This book is designed to empower and guide final-year students in tertiary institutions and corps members, helping them
maximize the potential of their service year by harnessing entrepreneurial opportunities.
The book provides valuable insights and actionable strategies for aspiring entrepreneurs, emphasizing the importance of self-leadership, community
development service, and entrepreneurship. It shares Mr. Adamu's journey, highlighting how he utilized his NYSC year to initiate a community development
service project that set up a library in Otukpo prison. This project has since evolved into a non-profit organization that empowers inmates to discover,
develop, and deploy their potential towards productive post-prison lives.
Aligning with YouWin's initiative on entrepreneurship, "NYSC With Purpose" serves as an invaluable resource for corps members looking to embark on
entrepreneurial ventures during and after their service year. By providing practical guidance, case studies, and success stories, the book equips youth corps
members with the knowledge and skills needed to succeed as entrepreneurs, thereby contributing to the growth and development of Nigeria's economy.
The impact of "NYSC With Purpose" extends beyond individual corps members to benefit Nigeria as a whole. By fostering a culture of entrepreneurship and
innovation among youth, the book empowers young Nigerians to create jobs, drive economic growth, and contribute to nation-building.
Our value proposition to YouWin is clear: By incorporating "NYSC With Purpose" into your initiatives and programs, you can provide corps members with
valuable resources and support to pursue entrepreneurial opportunities. This partnership will not only enhance the impact of YouWin's entrepreneurship
programs but also empower young Nigerians to unlock their full potential and contribute to the socioeconomic development of our nation.
We believe that YouWin would greatly benefit from integrating "NYSC With Purpose" into its initiatives, and we are excited about the opportunity to
collaborate with you in empowering Nigerian youth through entrepreneurship.
Thank you for considering our proposal. We look forward to the possibility of working together to make a positive impact on the lives of youth corps members
across Nigeria.
Warm regards,
Adamu Bashiru

ENTERPREENEURSHIP
"Thinking of how to be Mentally and Financially
Independent."
If you want to be rich, simply serve more people
-Robert Kiyosaki
AUTHOR OF RICH DAD, POOR DAD.
I WILL SIMPLY ADD TO THE ABOVE QUOTE, serve more
people creatively with products or services. This is where
entrepreneurship comes to force.
According to a multinational professional services network
Klynveld Peat Marwick Goerdeler, the Nigeria unemployment in
2022 is 37.7 percent and it was projected to rise to 40.6 percent
due to continuing inflow of job seekers into the labour market.
With such alarming unemployment statistics especially
among graduates, I believe one of the ways forward for
Nigeria to tackle the scarcely available jobs is
entrepreneurship.
Entrepreneurship is one of the surest ways to increase the
numbers of young people with legitimate means of income
leading to financial independence as individuals. As a nation,
creating enabling environment for entrepreneurs is key to
economic stability and socio economic development of the people
and the State at large.
EXCERPT FROM THE BOOK
The truth of the wide range of unemployment problem in our
country as it relates to large population of young people
particularly graduates from our tertiary institutions is alarming.
The space for securing a 9-6 job is slim with the size of annual
graduates flooding the labour market.
The only way out is the conscious building of supporting
environment for young people to get onboard with the flow of
entrepreneurship. One of the quickest questions that then call to
mind on young people being given to entrepreneurship is the
capacity to successfully handle the task.
This draws the line of the questioning if all can be an
entrepreneur? The answer is yes! Entrepreneurship is not a gift
given to some special few among us like Aliko Dangote, John
Mommoh, Zaron, Flutterwaves CEO and host of others. The more
financially independent our youth are through legitimate hustles,
the more the rate of crime that unemployment drives will drop in
our country.
