3.06Check that the water supply is through a gate valve or stop cock mounted adjacent to the equipment.
3.07Normal water pressure is adequate for the equipment.
3.08INSTALLATION AND PRE-START CHECKS
3.09Fit Washdown Gear housing to refuse chute as indicated on the Chab shop drawing.
3.10Check the brush is free from obstruction and the wire cable holding the brush in its position on the front roller, allowing the rush to hang centrally within the chute.
3.11Connect the main electric supply using the cable supplied and as per the enclosed wiring diagram.
3.12Connect the Main water supply to the 15mm pipe provided above the brush housing entry section.
3.13Switch on electric supply making sure ‘EMERGENCY’ stop button is in the ‘OUT’ position. The green indicator light only should be showing.
3.14Push ‘DOWN’ button. Check the rotation of the winding drum.
-Clockwise direction for down.
-Anti-clockwise for up.
If the rotation is incorrect, reverse 3 phases of the incoming supply.
3.15Pushing ‘DOWN’ button allows the brush to descend to the bottom of the chute. Press ‘STOP’ button. Check to see if the sliding stop, which operates the front limit switch, is free from the drum, i.e. between the drum and the front limit switch.
OPERATION OF REFUSE CHUTE, AUTOMATIC WASHDOWN GEAR

Loosen the two screws on the sliding stop letting the cable run through either up or down until the brush is in the correct position. Tighten the screws. Press ‘DOWN’ button allowing cable to run until the motor is automatically reversed and the brush commences to come up within the chute. The fixed stop on the cable closest to the brush requires NO adjustment.
3.17Pressing the ‘DOWN’ button also allows water to automatically flow through the flushing sprinkler head. Any adjustment to the water pressure is made using the gate valve inside the housing, adjacent to the control box.
3.18START-UP AND OPERATION
3.19Switch on the electric supply and water supply. Green indicator light will show on the control panel.
