• Introductory
My Name is Milan Sudra, I am living in Rajkot-India. I
have done my Masters in Taxation and accounting
from India. I have started my work as an Accountant
and bookkeeper from 2015. I had worked under CPA
firm around 5 years as a Senior Accountant. In my
work time duration, I handled many projects. Some of
my favorite projects, I have detailed in below timeline.
I am providing reliable, efficient and experienced
support to your business, and keep reminding about
your regular maintenance of your financial data and
also Contribute towards long term and sustainable
success of your business by keeping an eye on the
projections and performance with regular appraisals
and financial reports.
I am expertise with MS office, specially in MS Excel. To
arranging data, allocating the data, Combining the
information by using formulas. I can flexible to learn
any of the software. It’s challenging for us to learn
software immediate level.
• De Gournay UK LTD (Accounting software – XERO)
o Here I am handling around 4 companies based on various
Location, UK, New York, San Francisco, and France. I have
maintained books on day-to-day basis for all these companies.
o I have to Login in software, where I am getting all sales details to
raise invoices. As per Representative instruction, I am raising
invoice, it means I must take care with Retail discount rate,
Location area, Taxable amount, Commission amount, Etc. When
invoice is prepared, I have to send it to the representative of
invoice and client, and also posting this invoice to the books.
o Booking of purchase invoices when vendors sending over the
mail. After I have to set payments before the due date.
o Posting Company’s employees expense, which are expenses
behalf of the company and taking report for all the employees
about the expenses spent.
o I need to take care with A/R and A/P reports and if I found any
missing payment due or receivable, I have to contact with person
and immediate taking steps towards the payments.
o Every month end, I have to prepare COS files to verify the cost of
the products, this is the toughest part of the work. After the
calculation, I need to post the journal entries regarding the COS in
the books.
o We have handling 4 companies on difference base location, every
time I have to prepare Intercompany invoices for all locations and
posting to appropriate companies.
o I have to prepare Management report, financial report, Payroll
report, A/R and A/P reports, send it to the Head of department to
track the financial position of the company.
o Here, I have other various monthly tasks which are need to do
every time, like, Monthly reconciliation, New York and California
Sales tax filing, adjusting journal entries as needful and many
more work.
• Ecommerce companies (Accounting software – QuickBooks Online)
o We are handling here 60+ Ecommerce companies from US
country. These companies are related to various sectors like,
Restaurant, Automobile sector, Merchant sector, Property Sector
and many more.
o Here, we have monthly tasks to do. All the companies have own
shopify stores, where they are maintaining sales products and
payment gateway.
o We just importing the sales data from shopify to connected
accounting app. It’s depends on total sales, because if the sales are
bigger then it’s difficult to maintain in books. So, what we do, we
just collect the monthly sales data and post a Journal entry for the
month. This consumes less time and effective data enrollment.
o After the data enrolling, we need to post statements for the
month, posting all the transactions to the appropriate accounts, if
we can’t get any idea for transaction to post in account, we need
to ask client and then they send us with correct details and
categorized them and reconcile every month.
o After the Correcting the data, we have to send all the required
reports to the client, like, Management report, Financial report,
A/R & A/P Reports, Reconciliation report and COS reports as well.
• FITCI (Accounting software – QuickBooks Online)
o This is the Non-Organization company. It means they are rolling
NGO in the US country. They are organizing Medical camps and
medical treatment in to various zones. The US government and
Council helps to run this NGO by granting fund. But on the
other side they are also running a business that is renting the
shops and area to medical or doctors for startup.
o We are maintaining a Rent income sheet, where all the details
of renting information available for renters. I have to prepare
monthly invoices and sending over them to the clients. We have
proper tracking system to track every invoice’s payments and
after that I am allocating all the payments in QuickBooks.
o This is the NGO company, it means that they are connected
with social activity, for this we are receive grant money or
donation from Government or Council. We use them in social
activity, but there are restrictions on this grant. The Grant
amount, we can only use when our purpose will clear or
decided. Before we have to put this money in to restricted
accounts.
o There many additional tasks that we need to do every time, Like
Monthly reconciliation, Monthly reporting, preparing Monthly
project report, Where I have to prepare Forecasted Budget
report on the basis of current position, Cash Flow statement,
Class wise P&L and balance sheet reports and many more
reports need to submit HR department.
• Edly Funding Series (Accounting software – QuickBooks Online)
o Firstly, I have to introduce what this company is working. This is
the investor company, it means In US country if any student
need education loan for study, this company will arrange a
money for students. But main difference between this company
and bank is that, when bank gives loan to the student, the
Installment will automatically be started when date is decided
to cut the installment. Whether student have their job or not.
But in this company’s loan, the installment will deduct when
student starting earning. They are waiting until the student gets
the job.
o Here, I have to maintain the books, installments files, student
information, and many more things to do. The person who is
handling all the reporting things is Edly, who is getting
Management fees and operating fees.
o I have posted Investor invoices in the books, at the month end I
gets the files, where the details are mentioned like, Student’s
installments, Management fees calculation, operating fees, Due
amounts of loan and many more things.
o I have to operate all the reserve accounts and clearing
accounts. At the end of the month, if all the accounting process
will correct the automatic impact will show in the clearing
accounts it will match with due amounts of investors.
o This is very time-consuming work, because we have to locate all
the details and implement in to the workbooks, without excel
knowledge you can’t handle the calculation.
o Now it’s time for monthly reconciliations and all the things, If
you done proper calculation and proper accounting process, the
books are perfectly match with documents and gets the
reconcile without error.
¶ Key Accounting software ¶
