My hero private detective Hercule Poirot played by actor David Suchet From a very young age, I had been fascinated by this small little Belgian man from the pen of a famous British writer Agatha Christie. Hercule Poirot is a fictional private detective originally from Belgium but after the First World War, he lives and investigates cases in London and its surroundings. He owns a flat in Whitehaven Mansions in London, where he has its own office. Miss Lemon works for Mr Poirot, she is a lady but had never been married. However, she is diligent and hardworking. She helps mainly with administrative and office tasks and also in small investigations. Another friend of Mr Poirot is Captain Hastings, with him Poirot visited places, where the actual cases had occurred. Agatha Christie wrote many stories about Hercule Poirot, one of the most favourite ones is Death on the Nile and also very famous Murder on the Orient Express. A few actors played Poirot over the years, but I had been impressed by David Suchet the most. David Suchet is a very famous British actor, he also played in American productions. He played Poirot to the tiniest detail and I found it genius. He has been my hero from a very young age, mainly because he was knowledgeable. David Suchet played Poirot from 1989 until 2013 when the last Poirot film Curtain-Poirot´s Last case has been recorded.
