Cast & Crew Acquires Live Theater Payroll

BURBANK, CA – October 23, 2018 – Cast & Crew, which
provides payroll and human resources, accounting and
financial, and workflow and productivity software and services
to the entertainment industry, today announced it has
acquired substantially all of the assets of Checks & Balances
Payroll, Inc., a New York-based provider of payroll services to
the live theater industry.
Checks & Balances simplifies payroll processing with automated tax payments, multi-state filings and state
tax registrations, via a secure web-based software solution. Among its current clients are the Broadway and
touring productions of marquee shows such as Hamilton; Harry Potter and the Cursed Child; Dear Evan
Hansen; The Band's Visit; Mean Girls; Wicked; King Kong, and Come From Away.
The business will continue to utilize the Checks & Balances brand and operate with its current talented staff,
and there will be no change in day-to-day client interactions. Sarah Galbraith, Checks & Balances’ founder,
will continue to oversee the live theater operation as President, Checks & Balances.
