Mystical Cave: A place to feed your eyes and your soul.
Want to go to a place that is not only pleasing to the eyes but is also pleasing to the soul? Whether a pilgrim or just a plain tripper, this place is a must go.
HISTORY
The beautiful Mystical Cave is located in Sitio Boso-Boso in Antipolo City, Rizal, and was discovered by Inday Nelly Delles in the year 1970.
According to our tour-guide, Inday Nelly was sick and close to dying and dreamt of the cave when she was still in Ilo-Ilo. She travelled across the country to find the cave in order to heal herself. She then successfully found the cave and started to drink the water from it, making her fully healed from her sickness. According to the stories, when Inday Nelly found the cave, the hole was just like a tip of the coin. They form an entrance using gelignite, and were surprised to the hugeness and the wideness of the cave.
The cave is said to be about 8 storeys deep but only the first floor is allowed to be visited by the tourists. Aside from the healing water, the cave itself formed religious statues inside, hence getting the name "Mystical".
WHAT'S INSIDE?
Many beautiful rock formations and stalactites can be found inside the cave. One of the many reasons why Mystical Cave was frequently visited is because of the Religious Images that were found inside that is said to heal people.
Some of the rock formations inside were different images of Jesus and Mama Mary, the scene of Adam, Eve and the serpent, and other biblical figures. There are also interesting figures inside and one of which is the "Wishing Heart" where people can pray to finally meet their lovers and where couples wish in order to have a lasting relationship.
There are more beautiful sceneries too, there was this place called "bath tub" because it was formed like it. The tour guide said that many tourists bathe in it and claimed that they were freed from sickness.

A lot of rumors surround the Mystical Cave of Antipolo. According to the tour guide, the Japanese soldiers buried treasures inside the cave during the Japanese era and several years ago, some treasure hunters are around the area.
The place is also famous too because a lot of movies and television series are filmed in the cave. Some of it were Juan Dela Cruz, Aryana, Encantadia, Spirit Warriors, Pedro Penduko, Dyesebel, Marina, and Asian Treasures.
No wonder filmmakers dig the place, Mystical Cave looks too surreal. Number of couples married inside the cave too for a healthy life and long lasting relationship. Many stones are sold outside the cave too, for healing and for love.
Candles are sold in different colors too for the tourists to light inside the cave. The candles have different colors for they are designated to be lit in different figures inside the cave: Yellow for Pieta, for those people with heavy burdens in their hearts; Orange for The Holy Family, for peace and unity of the family; Green for the Wishing Well, for good luck in business and in studies; Red for Nazareno, for forgiveness; White for the God Father, for peace of mind; Blue for the Miraculous Medal, for the health and lastly, Pink for the Wishing heart, for love. These candles were all claimed to be true.
