Subject: The implementation of “No Schoolwork at Home Policy”
Problem
Aside from homework/assignments, there are various schoolwork that the students are required
to comply following the given due date/s. In this matter, the students tend to take these at home
in order to accomplish and meet the due date/s despite of the teachers not providing ample time
inside the classroom. As a result, the students are limited to activities outside of school and
personal consumption of time.
Policy recommendation
The significance of this policy is to ensure their students’ stability and maintenance in balancing
their personal role and responsibility as well as being a student. The teaching institution will
provide adjustments for them to meet their needs as well as provide them a good current teaching
structure, curriculum and environment. This will help them result to nurture their social life
along with their academics.
Implementing rules
• All sorts of schoolwork such as projects, written works and other outputs asked to accomplish
must be done inside the classroom or allotting the time of the subject.
• Reminders, guidelines and instructions including the due dates must be stated clearly for the
students to provide a timeline upon accomplishing tasks.
• Teacher/s must be held responsible of the duration of time being allotted by students for the
compliance of their schoolwork.
• The teacher/s must provide guidance throughout the schoolwork-making session to monitor
the student’s progress.
• The students must be monitored accordingly to ensure that the subject period was utilized
productively and effectively.
• The teacher/s must provide adjustments basing on the students’ progress upon accomplishing
their schoolwork/s.
• In case of student’s absence during the compliance of schoolwork, the teacher must provide
an alternative assessment that would also be done within the subject period.
• Invalid reason/s due to failure to complete the schoolwork would mean no considerations
applied.
• Standard academic grading must be applied accordingly regardless of other circumstances.
