Please kindly tell me a little about what your current job role is in the organisation?
As financial officer my job role is most important for organization to ensure the financial, statutory and management information with accounts and accounting principles on highest standard and integrity. Its comparison with business financial position and performance, to implement plans with collaboration of other employees.
Given your role in this organisation, please explain what does “sustainability” mean to you and your organisation?
It is foremost duty of me to identify and manage risks for long term shareholders sustainability value. Many risk associated with organization operations and projects to achieve goals. Inherent and new risk should be identify, measure and manage as a Chief Financial Officer.
To seek the opportunities for reducing cost, timely completion of projects and strategic financial resources in benefit of organization.
You have to think sharper, smarter for innovative trade solutions. As we are working on new portfolio which growing by 3% outperformed market rate and its strength increase revenue by 16.3%. Maintaining this portfolio will continue to outperform our industry both from volume and pricing feature.
We are continuously working on sustainability in nourishing culture diversity in providing training, resources and development programmes.
Do you think your organisation has a more dominant sustainability approach?
In previous year company achieves 105% of its target. There are financial and personal measures of objectives organizational and individual with level of awards to ensure the sustainable business strategy. This is balance of economic, society and employee’s benefits to oversee the market conditions and challenging trade conditions.
Can you describe the key drivers that have fuelled the need for implementing sustainability initiatives in your organisation?
Future focuses of our organization are protecting environment, building resilient and vibrant society and ensure safety standard. DP world culture with suppliers, customers and communities to develop sustainability approach and strengthen initiatives. Our business group committed to integrating responsible business practices for sustainability in business operations.
In 2016 current year we are launching Our World, Our Future, a global programme. This is long term investment in sustainability, aimed for best practices and innovation around the world in sustainability.

From the job role and responsibilities that you perform in this organisation, please, describe key ‘sustainability initiatives’ that are:
Currently being implemented in your organisation
A project of innovative resources to reduce carbon footprint. Project is 20MWp average energy this will result in 19,701 tonnes of carbon saving. Across the forty countries we have a global portfolio currently under development of 77 operating marine and inland terminals. We reduced injury frequency rate from 5.2 to 4.3 in 2015 move organization towards sustainability.
Planning to implement in your organisation in the next 5 years?
Our organizations continuously working on world class portfolio of assets and trade solutions. Identifying visionary opportunities to sustained long term shareholder value. We want to enhance EBIT by record 48.6%, and become a world’s leading sustainable organization.
The discussions have been very interesting. The next few questions will focus on main challenges organisations face in implementing key sustainability initiative.
From the job role and responsibilities that you perform in this organisation, please, enlighten me on the main challenges your organisation face in implementing sustainability initiatives?
1- Implementation of job role for efficiently and assigning responsibilities main challenge for attaining sustainability.
2- Projects for achieving within time and costs estimation for best implementation is difficult task.
3- Identification and controlling for safe issues and maintaining safe equipment in organization.
4- Enhancing our critical incident reporting system, learn from incidents, preliminary investigation, interviewing skills and prevention controls by training to our teams and employees for best sustainable level.
The next question will focus on the impact of key sustainability initiatives on organisational competitiveness.
Given your job roles and responsibility, kindly explain how the efforts of sustainability initiatives have contributed to your organisation’s competitiveness?
Our sustainability advisory committee performing and definitely enable the transformational change towards sustainability. It is highly appreciated for best investigation of all implications for best practices and leading organization for sustainability in world. A significant role in improving lives and protecting their environment.
In your view is there a need for developing “a mobile application for managing transformational change towards sustainability” in your organisation.
A Go Green initiative for world top operator to bring together. Our employee’s huge contributions and efforts continue to prove that corporate sustainability across the globe. Our aim to create most safe, efficient and productive trade solutions, long lasting impact on economies and societies with team of more than 37000 people
