SciHigh Students win at the 2016 PSYSC Summit
San Pablo City Science High School selected students beat other participating schools from Region IV-A CALABARZON and National Capital Region in the Philippine Science Olympiad (PSO) and Mathematics, Science and Kalikasan (MathSciAKa) Interactive Workshop held last September 3-4, 2016 at the University of Batangas.
Julian Paul Jose O. Santos was declared the top scorer for the PSO. Together with his teammates Jamilla Kim S. Lumague and Armando Arnold G. Hawili III, they bagged the first place in the said contest. All three Grade 10 students were trained and coached by Mr. Jeffrey D. Magtibay.
On the other hand, the group composed of Joey Mickai G. Leaño, Jester G. Manozon, James Kenneth C. Sumiran and Joyla Marie A. Catipon (Grade 10), and Jemi Donrei H. Alano (Grade 9) won the first place in the MathSciAKa Interactive Workshop. Mr. Franz Kevin B. Manalo coached and trained them for the said event.
Success and flying colors were all achieved through the collaboration of the students, SPCSHS Science Department (which includes Mr. Frances M. Rodriguez and Mr. Joseph Raymond T. Salvador) and Mrs. Neliza P. Cuasay, Principal II. (Lualhati S. Angeles II, Teacher I, SPCSHS)
