Unit Cubes
Previously planted monggo plants
Observation recording worksheet
Procedure:
1)
Introduction
a.
The teacher will remind the children of the monggo plants they
had planted during the start of the week.
b. The teacher will then ask the children to recall what steps they
had taken to make sure that the plants would indeed grow
Identify the needs of plants

The teacher will then tell the class that they will be finding out
how much their plants have grown and that they will be sharing
the information in class.
2)
Implementation.
a.
The teacher will tell the children that they will be using the unit
cubes
to
find out how tall their
plants have grown.
i. The teacher will draw a diagram of the process on the
board.
i. Another will set the
plants, worksheets,
and cubes
on
the tables.
b. The teachers will then let the children take their seats in the
activity area.
C.
The teacher will walk the children
through the steps
of
measuring the plant. Each table will have one teacher to
demonstrate it and to guide the children.
d. The children will draw and write the number of cubes
they
used on the sheets.
c.
The teacher will then share with the class how tall each
child's
plant has grown.
