Residential real estate
Residential real estate refers to any property used for housing. These include
family homes, cooperatives, duplexes, and condos where the investor or a party
renting the property lives in. This type is ideal if you are looking to start building
your dream home or begin a family.
Properties such as condos continue to remain in high demand due to their
primary location. These properties are popular because of their convenience and
access to nearby essential services such as malls, hospitals, and stores.
Residential real estate is a good investment because of the returns you can get.
For example, a real estate company in the Philippines typically has a pre-selling
period when you can buy properties at a lower price. Investors take this
opportunity to purchase and sell them later on when their value in the market
increases.
Commercial Real Estate
Commercial real estate (CRE) is a property that is used exclusively for
business-related purposes or to provide a workspace rather than as a living
space, which would instead constitute residential real estate. Most often,
commercial real estate is leased to tenants to conduct income-generating
activities. This broad category of real estate can include everything from a single
storefront to a huge shopping center.
Commercial real estate includes several categories, such as retailers of all
kinds—office space, hotels and resorts, strip malls, restaurants, and healthcare
facilities.
Industrial Real Estate
means land improvements, buildings, structures, and other real property, and
machinery, equipment, furniture, and fixtures or any part or accessory whether
completed or in the process of construction comprising an integrated whole, the
primary purpose and use of which is the engaging in a high-technology activity,
operation of a strategic response center, operation of a motorsports entertainment
complex, operation of a logistical optimization center, operation of qualified
commercial activity, operation of a major distribution and logistics facility, the
manufacture of goods or materials, creation or synthesis of biodiesel fuel, or the
processing of goods and materials by physical or chemical change; property acquired,
constructed, altered, or installed due to the passage of proposal A in 1976; the
operation of a hydro-electric dam by a private company other than a public utility; or
agricultural processing facilities. Industrial property includes facilities related to a
manufacturing operation under the same ownership, including, but not limited to,
office, engineering, research and development, warehousing, or parts distribution
facilities
Land Real Estate
In terms of real estate, land refers to a broad swath of property including vacant land,
timberland, or any land used for agricultural purposes — such as farms, pastures,
ranches, or orchards. Vacant land may be considered either developed or undeveloped
property.
