CARPET CLEANING
It’s been centuries since the carpets originated but still, it provides the same glamour as years ago and makes a place/home look luxurious. Although carpet brings a lot of beauty to the home, it can create a negative impact if not given proper attention. With time there have been changes in carpets from the method of making to design to fabric. Earlier Carpets were handwoven and in the modern world it is woven electrically, another difference is in ancient times it was used to protect the floor, for comfort and warmth but today its major purpose is to bring a new look and charm to the home by matching it with furniture and wardrobe, although it is still used for its traditional purposes. Cleaning carpets has been a tough job since ages as it holds dirt, allergens and become home to termites and other insects. But with the introduction and advancement of technology, the job gets easy as there are several advanced tools to clear everything from stains to insects.
There are several occasions when someone accidentally walks over the carpet with shoes or spill water or anything that leaves stains, in such situations it becomes a heavy task to figure out how to remove that stain or the dirt that’s stuck inside the fabric. Let’s get to know some tools that make the carpet cleaning process an easy, effective, and efficient process.
CARPET CLEANING MACHINE – It’s a type of vacuum cleaner with a brush at the bottom that pushes out all the clutter and dirt out of the carpet fabric while the machine moves over it. It’s a compact and time-effective machine for regular cleaning but it doesn’t include the function of removing the stain.
HOT WATER WASHING – It’s not a process of simply pouring hot water over the carpet and dirt comes out. Primarily hot water is showered over the carpet with pressure to soften the fabric followed by applying a cleaning agent. The carpet is kept dissolved in that liquid for a specific duration and then rinsed off with cleaning equipment that removes dirt as well as stain without any damage to the fabric and gives the carpet a brand new look.
ENCAPSULATION - It is a technique where synthetic detergent/cleaning agent is sprinkled over the carpet and the cleaning agent turns to powder form when it dries, loosening the dirt particles stuck between the fabric. Later everything including the cleaning agent is removed using a vacuum cleaner or carpet cleaning machine.
PHYSICAL CLEANING - This process requires physical strength as well as time. It will be suitable if it’s done on daily basis as the effort involved will not be much.
HOW TO PREVENT DIRT AND STAINS
There are several ways of keeping the carpet clean and prevent it from unnecessary dirt or stains.
Keeping footwear in a shoe rack or away from carpets to prevent the dust from entering the fabric.
Regular cleaning of carpet either with a hand brush or carpet cleaning machine to stop termites from entering the fabric and keeping dirt away.
