HOW TO KEEP HAIR HEALTHY THIS WINTER
In today’s stressful and challenging world where people are running short to give time to
themselves and other important aspects of their life, they are self- obsessed with not able to
properly groom themselves. One of the most important aspects of grooming in both men and
women is hair, none of us would like a shabby, unorganized, rough and dry hair. A person
with improper groomed hair will lose his confidence and doesn’t seem presentable, no one
likes to have shabby and dry hair and be present for meeting in an organization as it directly
questions his professionalism.
Everyone carries a different quality of hair ranging from curly and dry to straight and smooth.
Seasons play an important role in our hair and sometimes it affects them, for instance; during
summer season the hair becomes dry and rough as it loses its moisture due to heat, sweat,
sun rays, etc similarly winter season also affects the quality of hair the dry indoor heat and
cold outside can lead to breakage and split ends.
Lets now discuss some of the points to protect hair in winter-
Use something to cover hair ( eg. Cap/ Hood)- While going out in winter like we cover
our body with warm clothes, we need to cover our hair too preventing it from getting
damaged.
Prevent shampoo- Minimise the use of shampoo during winters, although it cleanses
the hair it also takes away the natural oils from the hair. So preventing or minimizing
the use of shampoo can be the best option for hair.
Applying moisturizer- Natural moisturizers like coconut oil and other oils can help
regain the moisture of hair during winters.
Turn down the heat- Using excessive hot winter to wash hair during winter can be
harmful as it takes away the moisture, lukewarm water is the best option.
Improving Diet- Improvement in our diet which is healthy for hair like Vitamin C is
highly beneficial.
Proper haircut- Maintaining a regular haircut can prevent split ends from getting
worse, so a regular haircut can maintain a healthy hair.
