Mommy Tasha teaches people how to become a virtual assistant to be able to work
from home.
She is a work at home mom and a mommy blogger.
What is the purpose of the podcast and how did it start?
Mommy Tasha shared that the reason for the podcast is because there are a lot of
people who had been asking her about virtual assistant.
One example is when she went to her son’s school and people asked what she do.
When she told them that she is a virtual assistant people are not aware of what it
was.
Other people are even asking her how to be a virtual assistant.
What is a virtual assistant?
According to Mommy Tasha, virtual assistant is now a trend which started in the
US and the UK because of their great internet connection.
A virtual assistant (who usually works from home) is like a support staff who helps
in whatever a client need. Anything that you can do in an office, a virtual assistant
can do it for a client.
Here in the Philippines, as Mommy Tasha mentioned, there are a lot of virtual
assistants now whom she had met. Many are also aspiring to be a virtual assistant
in the hopes of being able to work from home.
What are the different types of virtual assistant?
Mommy Tasha pointed out the following types of virtual assistant (or VA for short)
and what they usually do.
1.
Admin VA
a. manages client’s schedules, client’s calendar, client’s emails
b. kind of like an admin staff or a secretary in an office.
2. Design VA
a. make posters and social media posts for the clients
b. usually use Adobe Photoshop or Canva because it’s easier
3. Techie VA
a. help clients with their Wordpress websites
b. set-up the client’s membership site using Wordpress or Thinkific or
Invanto
c. set-up client’s email automation and sales funnels using tools like
Active Campaign, Mailerlite, Mailchimp and Click Funnels
Mommy Tasha shared that she is a Techie VA herself. She did not take up IT in
college. She learned it by herself. Her course in college was Fine Arts major in
painting. But now, she’s working as a techie virtual assistant and she’s working
from home.
Who needs a virtual assistant and why?
Clients with small businesses, as Mommy Tasha said, need help so they could
concentrate on making money for their business.
They can also focus in talking with their own clients and creating content for their
membership sites, courses or podcasts.
