The set will be the last entry into the Theros block, which has previously had the release of two other sets: ​Theros and ​Born of the Gods.​ Players find heroism and adventure in Theros, a fantasy world inspired by Greek mythology. ​Journey Into Nyx ​brings players to ​Nyx,​ the realm of the Theros gods, through expert card design and artwork. The set will be released ​May 2, 2014 and prerelease events will take place at local game stores April 26-27, 2014. Merchandise will be available at all major retailers and game stores. Design was led by ​Ethan Fleischer in his first position of leadership at Wizards of the Coast. “Journey Into Nyx brings the players everything they have been asking for after the past two sets.
