The Easy Shopper Series: Episode #1 Niyi's heart was beating frantically as he made his way towards her. Even though it was freezing cold in there, sweat dripped from his neck unto his collar. He thought up every excuse to turn and run away, but something kept him rooted there, perhaps the numbness from standing for so long, or the promise of fulfillment. Just as he decided to save this tryst for another day and started to leave, the lady's clear voice rang out, "Next!" Niyi stared at her blankly before realizing that she was addressing him. He stammered "....um, um, actually..". The lady gave him a puzzled look and wondered why she always got these weird sort of customers. Her gaze fell to the little box in his hand and her face lit up with both amusement and pity as she took it from him and processed it. "That will be 400 naira sir", the cashier said, handing over the box of Gold Circle condoms to a positively embarrassed beyond words Niyi. As he made his way quickly out of the SPAR Mall, the cashier slipped him a brightly colored flyer. Niyi glanced at the flyer only when he had made it to the safety of his car and read: "SHOP ONLINE AT SUPERMART.NG NIGERIA'S BIGGEST ONLINE SUPERMARKET No stress, No fuss, we bring your shopping right to your doorstep" He thought to himself, 'Damn!'
