Introductory Message
For the facilitator:
Welcome to the English Grade 5 Alternative Delivery Mode (ADM) Module
on Types of Viewing Materials.
The activities in this module are arranged sequentially to help the
learners understand the topic and develop the desired skill or learning
competency.
As a facilitator, you are expected to orient the learners on how to use
this module. You also need to keep track of the learners' progress while
allowing them to manage their own learning.
Remind the learner that if there are things he/she doesn’t
understand, he/she must not hesitate to call for your help and assistance.

Module on Types of Viewing Materials.
The activities in this module are arranged sequentially to help you
understand the topic and develop the desired skill or learning competency.
As a learner, you must learn to become responsible of your own
learning. Take time to read, understand, and perform the different activities
in the module. If there are things you don’t understand, do not hesitate to
call your facilitator / teacher for assistance.

Remember the following terms:
1. Multimedia Presentation is a stand-alone presentation that
includes information presented with slides, video, or digital
representations. A mixture of different viewing materials.
2. Visual thinking images – These are images that can be interpreted
through words.
When viewing pictures, videos and diagrams, remember these guide questions for
you to be able to interpret and analyze the subject or message of the material.
1. What colors do you see?
2. What do the colors make you feel?
3. What mood do you think the colors create?
4. How do the characters behave?
5. What happens in the beginning, middle and at the end of the story?
6. Which character interests you the most?
7. How does the music make you feel?
8. What do you think about what you see?
9. What does it make you wonder about?
10. What’s going on in the picture?

12. What have you learned while looking at the image, video or diagram?
