COMP TITLES
Parents and children will like my book if they enjoy an emphasis in inspirational science, while using fun rhymes and characters, such as HOW TO CATCH A DINOSAUR, while also highlighting strong social issues, similar to HEAL THE EARTH and WE ARE WATER PROTECTORS.
Also, I want to include a glossary at the end of the book, so parents can understand and explain any of the concepts to their children.

BIO
As a graduate of the University of Southern California, where I studied under Oscar winning writer, Seth Winston, I’ve long had a passion for education, including serving as a teacher at Washington HS in south central L.A. I have written and published articles on my blog, which has garnered thousands of reads from people all over the world, and grown a mailing list of over 17,000 people.
This is my first picture book. I live in Los Angeles (after growing up on the East Coast), I am a member of the Level Ground Collective writers group, and am developing a TV series that takes place at Exploration Station. Unfortunately, I will not be traveling to space anytime soon… emphasis on soon.
HOUSEKEEPING
EXPLORATION STATION; SMALL THINGS MAKE BIG THINGS is an educational science-fiction picture book, with 744 words of on-page text (1,071 if you include the illustrator notes), with my illustration partner Lauren Scheide.
A rhyming picture book introduction to atoms, planets, and the universe that explains the idea of tiny things making up the biggest things, but also touches on how small actions between friends can lead to big changes.
