Through an interactive discussion, the students should be able to:
A. expand following sentences by adding adjectives, adverbs or prepositional phrases;
B. put the different puzzle pieces into their proper places to prove that unity can still be achieved in a diverse community; and
C. use prepositional phrases in a sentence during the PP box pass.
A. Expand my horizon.
The class will expand the simple sentences written on the board by adding adjectives, adverbs, or prepositional phrases.
B. You are my missing piece!
The students will put the puzzle piece under their armchairs to their proper places to form the word, “Unity.”
C. Pass the knowledge.
The student who holds the PP box will use a prepositional phrase in a sentence.

1. Adjectives- are describing words that tell about size, shape, age, color, origin and material.
2. Adverbs- are words that qualify the meaning of verbs, adjectives or other adverbs.
3. Preposition- is a word used to link nouns, pronouns, or phrases to other words within a sentence.
4. Prepositional phrase- are groups of words containing prepositions.

A. Preparation
1. Ask one student to lead the prayer.
2. Greet the class.
3. Check the attendance.
B. Apperception
Ask the class this question:
“If you are alone and you suddenly see a buffalo and a tiger, what will you do?”
C. Review
Ask the class about the stories they had tackled previously and to what cultures do these stories represent.
D. Motivation
Present a videoclip about the fun things that we do not know about Vietnamese culture.
E. Statement of the aim
Tell the class that they are going to read a story about Vietnamese culture, a tale about diversity and unity.
F. Presentation
1. Distribute the handouts the contain the story, The Peasant, the Buffalo and the Tiger that they are going to read.
2. Task the class to read the story for ten minutes.
3. Discuss the story with the class.
4. Ask the class what are adjectives, adverbs and prepositions
5. Post on the board some examples of adjectives, adverbs and prepositions.
6. Introduce to the class what prepositional phrases are.
7. Pass the knowledge.
Play a music to the and let the “PP (prepositional phrase) box” roam around the class. The student who holds the PP box when the music stops will use a prepositional phrase inside the box in a sentence.

Instruct the class to expand the simple sentences written on the board by adding adjectives, adverbs, or prepositional phrases.

1. Task the students to put the puzzle piece under their armchairs to their proper places to form the word, “Unity.”
2. Process with the class the activity they have done together.
One student will lead the prayer.
Answer the question:
“If you are alone and you suddenly see a buffalo and a tiger, what will you do?”
Name the stories they had tackled previously and to what cultures do these stories represent.
Watch a videoclip about the Vietnamese culture.
Read the story of The Peasant, the Buffalo and the Tiger for ten minutes.
Participate with the discussion of the story.
