2. Using the Terminal
A terminal is a command line interface for mac OS. It’s just used like the command prompt of windows where you type the command and press return to execute the command. A terminal has three features: a command which calls a specific tool, an option which modifies the output and an argument which calls the resource on which command operates. Some commands used in mac system are as follows: diskutil list to list the disk utilities and properties, ls to display the current directory or files, rm to delete a file, cd to navigate to a folder, and much more.
3. Installing and removing Application from the Mac System
Installing application in mac system involves the following different process. You can install your app to a mac system using mac store where you can download and install the application. The application will be downloaded and shown on the application folder.
The other process is by double-clicking the DMG file (file format of mac system) to open it and you will find the finder window. Normally this includes the application itself, some form of arrows and a shortcut to the application folder. What you require is just to drag and drop the icon of your application to your application folder and you are done.
The other process is using PKG installers. In this form you just double-click the application and it will install the application.
Another area we should look at is uninstalling those applications. Uninstalling an application from the system just delete the app from the application folder.
4. Basic utilities of Mac OS like Homebrew
