Joan Too
We hereby express our gratitude to Joan Too, for carrying out the position of Information
Technology Coordinator at the International Association for Political Science Students
(IAPSS) during the- elected mandate (- to -). As with all
IAPSS positions, this position has been voluntary and unpaid.
IAPSS is the highest level of political science student representation in the world, with a
global network of students and junior faculty from over 70 countries. The association is
democratic, politically independent, not-for-profit, and contributes to education policy
discussions pertaining to political science at all levels of government to advocate for a better
quality of education for political science students across the world. IAPSS also seeks to
provide political science students with opportunities for academic and professional
development through its conferences, publications, delegations, volunteer opportunities,
student research committees, and a variety of other events and initiatives.
As the Information Technology Coordinator for the IAPSS Secretariat team, Joan carried
out the following tasks:

Updating and improving the IAPSS website, including but not limited to adding content
and publishing calls for applications;

Responding
-
Providing insights into how to improve internal processes in meetings within the
Secretariat and with other IAPSS departments;

Serving
to information technology related requests for assistance;
as a member of the IAPSS Human Resources Committee and assisting in the
creation of anonymous internal reporting mechanisms for human resources related
concerns, as well as improving volunteer orientation infrastructure.
On behalf of IAPSS, I would like to thank Joan for her service to political science students
around the world and wish her all the best in her future endeavors.
